Knock, knock.
Brian turned his head to the door as Megan tiptoed in.
"How's she doing?" she whispered, sitting on the bed.
"She's a little better than last night. She had a nightmare about him last night."
"What happened to your face? Half of it's red!"
"She took a swing at him in her dream, but I was the one that was really there."
"Yeah, I see the hand."
"Thanks," he whispered sarcastically.
"It'll be okay, Brian. She'll realize she loves you soon."
Brian smiled faintly.
"Well, the flight leaves for New York in two hours. We have to leave in forty-five minutes so you need to wake her up soon."
"Alrighty," he said solemnly.
As Megan walked out the door Brian gently shook Liz. "Mornin'."
"GrrrĶ" Liz moaned as she snuggled under the covers.
"You have to leave in forty-five minutes."
"Double grrr!"
"C'mon, sweetie, it's time to get up."
"You always were a morning person," she said covering her head with a pillow. Brian stood up and walked around the bed.
"It's time to get up!" Brian giggled as he scooped her off the bed and started spinning around.
"I THINK I'M GONNA THROW UP!" Liz shouted as she spun through the air.
Brian stopped spinning and looked at Liz. He placed her feet on the ground.
"Sick as a dog," she mimicked Dr. Evil.
Brian laughed.
"THIRTY FIVE MORE MINUTES!" Megan shouted from downstairs.
Brian's smile faded. Silence took over. "Nothing will be the same without you Lizzy."
"Well, I followed you here, Bri, so now you have to move to New York!"
"Okay!" he whispered under his breath. "I just might."
"Hmm?"
"Nothin'."
"I know you said something, Brian."
"No, I didn't say anything!"
"What did you say, don't make me tickle it out of you Brian!"
"But, but..." Liz knocked Brian off his feet and onto the bed. Brian turned bright red from laughing. He rolled over to try to get away from Liz, but underestimated the space he had left and fell on the floor, pulling Liz with him. Liz fell ontop of him with a thud. She looked into Brian's eyes and saw something she had never seen before. She saw the gaze from him that was in no way like he had ever looked at her before. In his eyes she saw a gaze of pure love and adoration. She was lost in his eyes until she heard a loud bang on the door.
"WE ARE LEAVING IN TWENTY MINUTES, LIZ! HURRY FRICKEN UP!" Megan shouted from outside the door.
Liz stood and pulled Brian to his feet. "Um, I have to get dressed, so uh..."
"Uh... yeah... I should go and get dressed too," he murmured.
