Megan, Nick, Liz and Brian ran from the window and ducked to the ground. "Quick call the police!" Brian shouted. He pulled Liz and Megan into a closet. "Stay in here!" he commanded and shut the door. Brian crawled over to Nick, who was on the phone. He looked over at the window, the helicopter had left the lawn, but was still flying over head.
"Hello, hello!?" Nick shouted into the phone.
Brian grabbed the phone from Nick's hands. "Hello?"
"Yes sir, how can I help you?"
"There's a helicopter flying over our house, I think that they may be trying to kill us or something!"
"Where do you live sir?"
"1410 Brownstreet Boulevard."
"Sir I believe that the helicopter is a police helicopter."
Brian looked out the window, and say FPD, written on the side. "Why are the police after me?" He cried.
"There was a mass burglary in your area. Some of the criminals escaped the police when they arrived at the scene, and are wondering the area by foot. The police are searching the area by helicopter for the criminals."
"So nobody is going to kill us?"
"No sir. I suggest that if you have any company that does not live in your house, you might send them home now."
"Ok, thank you."
"No problem sir, good evening."
Brian hung up the phone. "Good news guys, it's a police helicopter!" Brian said walking back into the den. He saw Darren, Zach, Riley, and Laney sitting on the couch, as if they didn't even move.
"Oh, um, yeah, good, I was SO scared!" Darren said sarcastically.
"Yeah, I'm still shaking," Riley commented.
"Awe shut up! Hey, where're Liz and Megan?" Brian asked.
Nick came up from behind and hit Brian upside his head. "They're in the closet ya moron!" he laughed.
"Wuhoh!" he said running to the closet.
"Brian, what's going on with the helicopter?" Laney asked as Brian returned to he den with Megan and Liz. Brian explained what had happened and that everybody should go home.
Fifteen minutes later everybody had left the house except Brian. Laney and Riley had both gone to bed. Liz sat down in a chair to rest for a second. "You OK?" Brian asked kneeling beside her.
"Yeah, I'm ok, I'm just tired," She replied.
"C'mon, let's get you to bed," he said picking her up and carrying Liz to her room. He put her down out side the door, and waited outside as she changed. "Ok, you can come in."
Brian walked into the room and Liz was sitting on her bed putting her hair into a pony tail. [She's so beautiful] , he thought. The helicopter flew overhead again and Liz shivered. Brian could hear police sirens in the distance. "Are you scared?" Brian asked. He already knew that she was, he had been friends with her for how many years now? Brian knew she was terrified of the movie, and then to have criminals running around the neighborhood. Liz nodded in response. She walked around her bed and slipped under the covers. The police cars were getting closer, and the helicopter was now circling overhead. "They must have spotted 'em."
"Yeah I guess," Liz said gazing out the window. She shivered again, Brian knew she was really scared.
"Liz, do you want me to keep you company over the night? You seem a little shaky."
Liz looked up at Brian, "Yeah, you mind?" she asked.
"Not at all Lizzy." Brian took off his collared shirt, and laid down wearing a tee-shirt and sweatpants. Brian put his arm around Liz. Liz fell asleep within minutes, while Brian stayed awake for a while longer. He enjoyed having Liz in his arms so much. "Damn, where's that trusty time freezer when you need it?" Brian whispered to himself.
