After a few days, Liz finally got to go home. Brian and Megan drove her home. She was so happy to be able to plop down on her bed again, instead of laying on the cement mattress' they had at the hospital.
That evening Darren, Zach, Brian, Nick, and Megan stayed over to watch some movies. They ordered pizza's and rented a few movies and hung out. While Laney and Riley had gone to get the pizza's, Darren and Zach rented the movies. There was a mutual agreement between the guys and the girls, that the girls could choose one "chick flick", and the guys could choose a guy movie, and then the two would choose a movie together. The girls chose "A Princess Bride." Together everybody chose and action movie, "True Lies," however the guys wouldn't tell the girls what movie they had gotten.
"We haven't decided yet!" the kept saying. The girls knew that was bull, but they went along with it.
After they had rented the movies, everybody sat down in the den with their pizza. There was a huge battle of the sexes while choosing what movie to watch first second and third. They decided that they would put the movies in blank covers so that they wouldn't know which movie was which, put the movies in a bag, and draw the movies out of the bag. The order they picked was the order they watched the movies in. Nick picked first, then Brian, then Liz. Nick picked "True Lies," first. When that movie was over, they watched Liz's movie, which was "The Princess Bride." All the women wiped tears from their eyes, as all the guys yawned from boredom. Even if they had enjoyed the movie, they would have pretended not to, just to look macho. Brian unveiled the last movie to be seen, "And the winner is drum roll please," Brian said to Nick, as he tapped on the table. "I Still Know What you did Last Summer!"
"OK, I'm leaving!" Liz said standing up. Liz was terrified of horror flicks and Brian knew it. "Brian, why would you pick this?" she asked.
"I didn't! I left it up to Darren and Zach!" he said turning to the two guys who were slinking down in their chairs. "Liz, please watch the movie with us!" Brian pleaded. "C'mon, I'll let you sit on my lap!"
"Brian!" she squealed as he pulled her next to him on the couch.
Liz sat right next to Brian. She rested her head on his shoulder, and held his hand during the scary parts. [Why can't we just stay here like this forever? I love holding her.] Brian thought.
Halfway through the movie a helicopter started flying back and forth over the house. Liz, Brian, Nick and Megan walked across the den to the sliding door to see what was going on. The helicopter was about fifteen feet above the ground, shining a huge search light on the lawn. Suddenly the helicopter turned and shined the light onto the four of them.
"Quick! Everybody hit the floor!" Brian shouted dropping to his knees and pulling Liz out of view from the helicopter.
