The next day is Saturday and all the girls end up hanging out at Casey’s house—-well, it’s a mansion really. Casey’s parents are rarely at home because they work practically all day and night. Her father’s a scientist and her mother is a surgeon that is always on call. They’re hanging out in her room when they here a loud thud in one of the rooms. They all become frightened, but send Alli to check it out—-she’s the only one who has guts to. She’s on her guard as she walks down the hall to the room where even more noise is coming from. She opens the door to see a half naked guy on the floor in a clutter of books and clothes. He looks up to find her face and she quickly closes the door as she becomes a bit embarrassed.
Alli: Umm, I didn’t know anyone else lived here. I mean, Casey told me that she was an only child and her mom and dad are rarely home and… *she thinks to herself* I am such an idiot! What the heck am I babbling about? *She keeps on babbling as the door opens and the guy stands behind her with just a pair of jeans on. He taps her on the shoulder and she spins around, almost hitting him* Omg! You gave me a fright. Well, you actually gave all of us a fright. Who are you and what were you doing?
Guy: *he has a nice toned body with muscular arms and has light brown hair with crystal green eyes* Wow, you do talk a lot for someone as sophisticated looking as you.
Alli: Sophisticated! Phish! More like the complete opposite… I just happen to have good taste.
Guy: Well, anyways, my name is Matt… well, actually Matthias, but no one ever calls me that. And I just moved in earlier yesterday. I don’t think Casey knows. I’m her cousin, by the way, and all that noise you heard was me struggling through the mess I have piled up trying to get some clothes after taking a shower.
Alli: *she blushes a bit, but then notices a tattoo on his shoulder* Hey, that’s cool, where’d you get it?
Matt: Well, I got it just recently. It’s the letters theta and omicron in the Greek alphabet. It was part of my Frat initiation.
Alli: Oh really? How cool! *She leans on the side of the door relaxing as if with a friend* So, did it hurt or were you all macho about it?
Matt: At first it stung, but it wasn’t that bad.
Alli: Ah, that’s how it felt when I got my 1st tattoo.
Matt: *is shocked* Your 1st?
Alli: *laughs* Yeah, my 1st… I only have about 3 tattoos. There's one on my ankle, one on my lower back and one right here. *She pulls her shirt to the left a bit, just where her bra strap would be and shows a tattoo of omega* I have always been interested in the ancient Greeks, and thought this would be a perfect tattoo. The one on my ankle is a rose and the one on my lower back is small blue flaming skull. It’s really cool.
Matt: I’m surprised you have so many for your age.
Alli: *laughs and then there is an awkward silence. Suddenly three heads pop up around Alli*
Casey: What are you doing here Matt?
Amah: Is this your cousin?
Rami: Oo, he’s cute!
Matt: *closes his eyes and looks down trying not to reveal his anger* Casey, I was moving in remember? Don’t you ever remember when I tell you these things? I told you last weekend I was gonna move in this weekend.
Casey: But you always say that, and I thought you were joking. Well… what were the two of you talking about, Alli? *She nudges Alli’s shoulder as if something had happened between Alli and Matt*
Alli: We were just doing a little bit of show and tell. *She tries to act serious as Casey is somewhat shocked, thinking of all the possibilities* No, we were just talking about tattoos, but there was a little bit of show ‘n tell. I showed him my tattoo because he showed me his. *She shows her tattoo on her chest and then covers it up*
Rami: I didn’t know you had a tattoo!
Amah: She has 3. Right Alli?
Alli: *nods*
Rami: How did you know that?
Amah: Well, if you paid attention to her when she was talking to us instead of daydreaming about the Odwa!
Matt: Well, I’ll let you girls go and have your fun. It was nice to meet you Alli. I’ll talk to you later.
Alli: *nods* Cool, until then.
Matt: *closes the door to his room*
Casey: There is much more going on here than I thought!
Alli: You’re delirious! *She begins walking back to Casey’s room*
Casey: I’ve never seen my cousin so polite and nice to someone before. Very odd behavior.
Alli: So? You never have a day without odd behavior! *She laughs, but Casey looks like she’s about to punch her* What’s that?
Casey: What’s what?
Alli: *points to Casey and the other’s glowing pin*
Casey: *looks at the others and they nod and head to Casey’s room*
Amah: Whenever it flashes, it means there’s some kind of unidentified problem going on in the city. Look. *They are in Casey’s room and Amah’s laptop is also glowing. She opens it and a map of the city is on it. A star is blinking.* That’s where the activity is. We better transform and get out of here.
A knock is heard at the door. The girls stop and try to look normal as Casey opens the door.
Casey: Now what?
Matt: I think Alli dropped this in my room. *He holds out a her pin*
Alli: *looks at her shirt and realizes that it is hers* Thank you so much. *She grabs the pin and puts it on her shirt* I didn’t even notice it was gone!
Matt: No prob.
Casey: Bye Matt. *she kind of slams the door*
Matt: *yells from behind the door* Better watch that attitude!
Casey: *rolls her eyes and instructs the girls to transform. Alli watches to see how they do it*
The girls touch their pin and it gives off a colored light. They close their eyes and say (not yell) “Sword of Unity!” The pin floats to their hands and turns into a sword. They spin around once and are all transformed. Their outfits look just like Alli’s except in their respectful colors. Alli does the same, and then they all swiftly jump out of one of Casey’s window with such agility that no one could see them as they run.
