The Argon Knights
A warm summer’s wind blew with a hint of coolness from the approaching autumn as a motorcycle roared down an empty road. The dawning sun made the helmet of the rider glow. Her long light brown hair blew in the wind as it slowly swooped over the blue painted flames on the motorcycle. She stops at a park and takes a look at the quiet lake. The sun is barely moving onto the water, giving it a little shimmer. She takes off her helmet, shakes her hair and gets off the bike. Her black tights and black boots begin to glow a bit, and her khaki skirt and tan shirt glisten with hints of gold. She walks into the bushes and past the trees to the dock of the lake. She takes in a deep breath, smiles, and then runs back to her bike and rides off into the sun.

She walks down the halls of a crowded high school with her sunglasses on and her smile radiating. Everyone stops and checks her out as she walks up to the doors of the office. She takes off the glasses and takes a seat.
Lady: Ms. Redding, Mr. Belford will see you now
Girl: *stands up and heads into the principal’s office*
*****
Teacher: Class, this is Miss Allison Redding. She’s a transfer student from Ridgemont High and will hopefully be a permanent part of Holtman High. Please, treat her kindly and give her the respect she deserves. Now, Ms. Redding, you may take a seat right over there *points to an empty seat in the back left corner*
Girl: The name’s Alli *she says as she walks toward her desk. The guys stare in awe as she walks and then takes a seat, putting her sunglasses back on *
Teacher: Sorry, Alli, we don’t allow those things in class
Alli: My bad *takes them off and smiles as her blue eyes twinkle*
The bell rings and she heads out and goes to her new locker. A guy approaches her and asks her if she would like to go out with him. She gives him a smirk and walks away.
Guy: Hey! Is that a no?
Alli: *just laughs at him as she walks into her next class*

Alli: Mary, I’m home *takes off her shoes, and plops onto the couch*
Mary: *pops her head in and yells* No TV until you do your homework!
Alli: *grins and says* Jeez, who made you mom? Just because you’re five years older than me, doesn’t mean you’re in charge here! *She turns off the TV, goes upstairs, and does her homework in ten minutes flat. She stares out the window as she waits in boredom for the time to pass. She notices something on the corner of her dresser. She gets up and picks it up. There are 2 lovely silver bracelet-looking things decorated with little vines on her desk. She puts them on her wrists and looks in the mirror*
Alli: Strange… how did these get here? Mary, did you get me these bracelets?!
Mary: What are you talking about?
Alli: *looks at them and thinks a bit* Never mind! *She takes them off and puts them in her pockets. She heads down to her motorcycle and roars down the busy street in the afternoon light*

Alli walks down the street of the Mall, looking at all the hangs outs for the people at her school. There’s a fast-food place for the punkers, a burger joint for the cool people, and some other random places for the other cliques. She finally finds a good out-door restaurant with, what seems, no one around. She sits down, asks for a cherry coke and relaxes as she closes her eyes and tries to drown out all the sound around her. Suddenly she hears a scream. She turns to check things out and out of some trees comes a giant monster with the face of a lioness, the legs of a goat, and a snake’s tail. Everyone runs away except for the woman in the monster’s arms. It begins to walk away from the bushes toward the front of the mall.
Alli: *feels like she needs to do something to help, so she stands in front of the monster and yells* I won’t let you… whatever you are, hurt this woman. Let her be and go back to where you came from.
The monster walks forward and around Alli as if it had heard nothing. It walks blankly ahead and a dark hole appears in front of it.
Alli: *jumps up to try and grab the woman, but is thrown to floor roughly by the monster. The monster disappears into the hole and the hole closes up. She just looks at the now vanished spot angry, yet afraid* What the hell was that thing?
