The next day, Alli walks around the area where the “accident” took place. She ponders and then looks around and sees something sparkle over in the bushes. She pushes through the brush and puts her hand on the item. She picks it up to find that it is a sword with strange engraving on it. The sword itself is very shiny and thin and light, but as Alli found out, it was sharper than anything she had every seen. She could cut off a part of a tree, and possibly a tree if she tried. She looked closely and saw that on the handle was a design of little yellow flowers with heart-shaped leaves all connected on a vine. She held it up, practiced with it, and it seemed to fit her. One of the letters of the strange engraving lit up and soon all the others did as well. Alli stood in awe, as the light seemed to go into her head. She was suddenly struck against a tree with the force of it. She lay on the ground half conscious.

When she finally came to, she found herself in a strange outfit. She stood up and looked at herself. The sword, no longer in hands, was in a holder on her hip. She was now in a blood red, sleeveless form-fitting spandex shirt with a lightning bolt cut a little below her neck that went down to reveal a bit of cleavage. There was also a chain belt and a metal-plated skirt along with some high boots and 2 thick strips of cloth that cover the front and back of her legs (it looks like loose-fitting pants with a slit on the side). On her arms were the two silver rings she had found earlier and she wore black gloves. Her long beautiful hair was now held up with a black ribbon that flowed down past her shoulders and her nose and mouth were covered by a black mask, which was held together with elastic that went around her ears (like one of those white masks that doctors use for operations and stuff).

She felt light and very agile. She could run almost at the speed of light. She felt amazing and wanted to share her newfound gift, but couldn’t. She knew that she had something she would have to keep a secret that she would keep to herself for some time. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath as she tried to calm herself down. She opened her eyes and found that she was in mid air! She freaked out and fell to the ground with a thud.

Alli: *hears a noise coming from behind and turns to run, but finds herself back in her normal clothes* Who’s there? *A guy steps out from behind a tree, but she cannot make out his face. She can only see his white hair and a bit of his face*

Guy: Better be careful with what you have been given. Only heed this: with power comes responsibility. You cannot run away from destiny. *he disappears*

Alli: Strange. *She shrugs it off and then notices that the silver rings are now on her wrists and somehow her wrists attract themselves together and as they clang, a strange little pin comes out from a light. It is a tiny blood red heart with a little sword in it. She looks at it and pins it onto her shirt* It's cute. *She looks at her watch* Well, better be getting home.

The bell rings and Alli heads over toward her motorcycle. As she approaches, she sees a group of 3 girls around her bike.

Alli: Um, can I help you?

Girl #1: *this girl has long blonde hair and brown eyes* Yea, can you tell me where you got this thing? It’s so incredible!

Alli: I bought it… with money… at a dealership. Nothing much about it that makes it magnificent, well, except for the blue flames I painted on there.

Girl #2: *she has medium length Auburn hair and brown eyes* Wow! You did that yourself?

Alli: Yea. *She notices that all 3 of the girls have the same pin as hers; only the color of the heart is different. One is peach, another green, and the other black* Well, if you don’t mind, I need to be getting home.

Girl #3: *Her medium-length hair is dark blue and her eyes are green* Look, we’ve seen you around and we just wanted to get to know you. My name is Casey. This is Amah and Rami. *she puts out her hand to shake Alli’s*

Alli: *is sort of confused, but then shakes Casey’s hand. A sort of bolt goes between them and they look each other in the eye*

Alli+Casey: Have I met you before? *They both look at each other in a kind of amazement, but then they laugh it off*

Amah: So, how bout we grab a bite to eat?

They head on over to the burger joint where all the popular people hang out. Everyone welcomes Alli with open arms, seeing as how she has so much of the attention at school. Some girls don’t like her because their own boyfriends can’t stop looking at her. She is so beautiful on the outside, but a bit on the boy side inside because she rides a bike—- at least that’s what the guys think. The girls grab a table, which is almost secluded from all the others, and Amah begins to tell Alli their story. Just a couple of months ago they had each found a pair of silver rings and they all transformed and then got the pin. Their outfits actually corresponded with the color of the heart on the pin. When the monster that Alli had seen the other day appeared, they knew what to do, but had no idea why. Each of the girls owned a dog: a husky, a German shepherd, and a golden retriever. The day after they saw the monster, their dogs actually talked to them. They were each part of the Greek mythological dog Cerberus that guarded the gates of hell. The girls were called the Argon Knights, but were never mentioned in any stories because after they defeated someone or conquered a city or country, someone else would take the credit. They also were the ones responsible for the death of the gods, but it was an accident, but the people were so angry that they killed the girls, and no one knows how, not even the girls’ souls could tell them. They were each reborn and given a special ability: Amah controls the wind, Rami the earth, Casey controls the water, and now Alli controls fire—the 4 elements of the earth. They knew that the 4th element had to show up one time or another. When they saw Alli walking around with the pin, then they knew. Their dogs then left them to go back to where they belonged-- guarding the gates of hell.

Alli: I think someone knows my secret. After I had transformed, I was frightened by a sound and found myself normal again. A man came out from behind a tree and told me something and then disappeared. I couldn’t make him out.

Casey: That must have been one of the hunky guys that help us; only they say they don’t do it for us, but for their ancestors or some junk like that. They call themselves the Odin warriors. And even if you can only see their eyes, I think they’re both cute!

Rami: Always on and on about the Odwa—we try not to say things that will connect ourselves with the Argon Knights or the Odin warriors so people don’t become suspicious. But obviously we’re talking about it now to you, but that’s different.

Casey: Oh look, there goes Holman and Titus! *She waves and yells* Yoo-hoo! Over here! *The guys look over and come toward them*

Holman: Hello ladies. *He winks with one of his crystal blue eyes* My brother and I were just about to come over and ask you something. Oh, hello, you must be that new girl I’ve seen around. My name is Rick, but everyone calls me Holman. *He smiles and shakes Alli’s hand* Hey Titus, don’t be rude.

Titus: Hello all. Obviously, my name is Titus, hello. *He puts out his hand to shake Alli’s and as she shakes it, he gives her a cold look through his gray eyes*

Alli: Do you guys play on the football team? I think I saw you out there practicing the other day.

Holman: Yeah, we’re both on the Varsity team.

Alli: That’s cool. So, how’s it like… having a twin I mean.

Titus: It has its goods and bads. *He nudges Holman & they both nod*

Holman: Well, we got to go, it was really nice meeting you…I’m sorry, I didn’t catch your name.

Alli: The name’s Alli, and it was a pleasure meeting you both. *She watches as the two walk down the street somewhat preoccupied*
