Alli: Why are you guys like this today? Just a minute ago we were all fine and dandy. What happened?
Casey: You know what? I’m out of here. *She starts walking off* Girls, you coming? *The girls walk off along with her*
Alli: Don’t tell me you two are gonna leave too.
Titus: I don’t see why. I thought we were getting closer.
Holman: I’d stay, but then I wouldn’t have a ride.
Titus: Good luck on finding one. *He walks off*
Alli: What’s going on with everyone? Thank goodness at least you’re the only sane one I can talk to.
Holman: Um, Alli? Will you give me a ride home?
Alli: *smiles* Sure! It’ll be the first time my little bike has had a ‘visitor’. *She laughs along with Holman. They both start heading off toward the parking lot* So, are we gonna do something, or do you just wanna go home?
Holman: There’s a party in a couple of hours at Erickson’s house.
Alli: Cool, I’ll get to see the guys again. *She looks a bit embarrassed to ask, but does* Rick, what happened last night? I remember the game… that was amazing. I remember getting to the party, but then I blank out from there until this morning. I guess you would know cuz I was probably hanging out with the guys.
Holman: Yeah, you hung out with them a lot. *They are outside now, so he talks a little bit softer* You entered into a drinking contest—-and won. But you were totally out of it afterward. Then, you came over and sat with me on the couch. And then we… *he pauses*
Alli: Omg, did I throw up all over you?
Holman: No… *he laughs* but thank God you didn’t.
Alli: So, what happened then?
Holman: *as they reach the bike, he kind of whispers* We kissed.
Alli: We what?
Holman: We kissed.
Alli: *is shocked and takes a seat on her bike* You’re kidding me right? *He shakes his head and she sighs* Figures I’d have my first kiss and I wouldn’t even remember it. Did I come onto you or you to me?
Holman: You came onto me… literally. But, I was your first kiss?
Alli: *blushes and sighs* Yeah, you were. It’s not like me to let my guard down so easily. I guess I have to stay away from the booze—-wouldn’t want that to happen again. *She straightens herself out, gets 2 helmets out from under the seat* Shall we?
Holman: *gets on the bike and then they head off to the park while they wait for Erickson’s party to start. They didn’t want to be the first ones there*
They arrive at the party and it’s already in full motion. The guys greet Alli with a giant hug and invite her over to the keg. She denies and they boo her, but they continue on. She goes to the back to get some food and sits down at one of the tables. Holman is off with the guys and Alli is alone with her thoughts.
Alli: It was strange how everyone changed their attitudes at the drop of a hat. It all happened after we greeted Matt and Melissa. There’s something about Melissa that I just can’t put my finger on. *She gets shiver down her spine*
Casey: *puts her jacket over Alli* Hey, sorry about leaving you like that. Forgive me?
Alli: Yeah, of course. *Looks around* Where’s Rami and Amah?
Casey: Oh, they couldn’t come to the party, so I came. I figured you’d be here. I saw Holman in there, but I didn’t see Titus.
Alli: *frowns* Yeah, he took off too. I don’t know where he went. Rick and I went over to the park to just walk around before we came here, cuz Titus left him without a ride.
Casey: You know, it’s always been nagging at me since day one… Why do you call him Rick and not Holman like everyone else?
Alli: *thinks about it* Come to think of it, I don’t know. I guess it’s because he doesn’t looks like a Holman type of person to me. I know it’s his last name, but I don’t think it suits him. And now, it’s just a force of habit.
Casey: Oh, I see. *She looks a little bit nervous* I saw you two kiss last night. I was so shocked that I went outside, where I found Titus. I thought you didn’t want the whole “relationship” thing.
Alli: I just found out a couple of hours ago that I had actually kissed him. It surprised me too, but at the same time it didn’t because I was so drunk that I let go of all of my defenses. That’s why I’m not in there with the guys. I’m trying to stay “sober” as it were. *The two laugh and see Titus over with the guys* Now, if I’m not mistaken, you like Titus, don’t you?
Casey: *blushes* Yeah, I know it’s pretty obvious since I hang all over him.
Alli: *she looks sincerely into Casey’s eyes* Does my hanging out with him make you uncomfortable or jealous?
Casey: I’m ashamed to say it, but yeah. I understand cuz of his loyalty to you, but it still makes me a little bit angry.
Alli: *gives back Casey’s jacket* Thanks for the jacket. I think I’m gonna be heading home. I need to do some homework and take a nice long bath to get rid of this stupid headache.
Casey: Alright. See ya Monday, then. I have Mass tomorrow. Do you go to Church?
Alli: *gets up* Well, I used to, but not anymore. I have my belief in God, but I don’t believe in going to Church. But, hey, it’s my opinion. Bye Casey. *She gives her a hug*
Casey: Oh, I see you have the gloves on.
Alli: Yeah, they’re really cool. Well, later! *She walks into the house and says goodbye to all the guys and rides off on her bike home. Her pin begins to glow* Oh great. *She presses on her right bracelet and puts it to her ear* What’s going on Amah?
Amah: There’s some activity in Casey’s house.
Alli: Should I go get Casey, or is she gonna drive there?
Amah: She’s on her way, and so am I; I’m with Rami, but we’re not driving.
Alli: *laughs* Ok, see you there! *She roars off on her bike and gets there in a matter of seconds already transformed. She gets off her bike* It’s a little too quiet. *She walks in through the house and there’s nothing but silence. She goes outside to the back and finds two stone statues of Wind and Earth* What the hell? *She hears a slithery voice laughing*
Creature: More food. Yum! *She looks at Fire intensely and her hair moves weirdly*
Fire: *gets dizzy* What the hell are you doing?
Creature: Hmm, you didn’t turn to stone like the others. Strange. Oh well. *She kicks Fire in the stomach and knocks her back* Medusa loves it when they don’t give up easily.
Fire: Medusa? *She breaks out her sword* Well, seems like this will be easy.
Medusa: *Slithers back and holds an entranced Matt* You wouldn’t hurt one of these lovely creatures, now would you?
Fire: *under her breath* Matt?
