Alli wakes up at 1 in the afternoon with a hangover and doesn’t remember anything past the game. She was supposed to meet Casey and the girls more than 2 hours earlier that day. She goes down to eat some food and sees Holman, Titus, and her sister Mary all talking in the living room. She quietly tries to get to the kitchen.

Mary: Alli! Don’t think you’re getting away that easily young lady.

Alli: *hangs her head in shame, waves to the guys hi, and goes to talk with Mary a little bit off to the side*

Mary: You’re lucky you have such good friends as these two guys. They’ve calmed me down a bit, but I’m still angry with you.

Alli: *nods* Could I get some breakfast at least… or brunch, or whatever?

Mary: *sighs* Yeah, go ahead.

Alli: *gives her a hug* I’m sorry. *looks over at the guys* Hey guys. Sorry you had to see me that way, but, uh, you didn’t have to come.

Titus: We had to explain things. Besides, we didn’t want your sister to think we were some strangers who dropped off her passed-out sister.

Holman: Yeah.

Alli: *she smiles* Thanks. Well, um, I’m gonna eat and get ready. It won’t take me too long, so you guys are welcome to stay if you’d like.

Holman: *looks at Titus and they both nod* We don’t mind.

Alli: Cool. Just follow me. *she shows them to their entertainment room, which has a big screen TV, practically all of the game systems laid out and some DVDs to watch* Go ahead and help yourselves to anything. If you need help, give me a holler, I’ll be in the next room eating.

The guys are practically in awe of all the stuff in the room and only nod and wave as Alli leaves the room.

The three of them go out to meet the girls, but the girls are no longer there, so the three of them go to have some fun in the mall arcade. They play practically every game, switching off partners and just having fun. The girls pass by the arcade and see the three of them racing against each other in one of the car games. Alli is in the lead, followed closely by Holman and Titus.

Casey: *stands with her arms crossed and looking a bit angry* Eh hem. *No one turns to look at her*

Rami: Hey you guys. Having fun without us I see.

Amah: Yeah, let us in on the action.

Alli: Oh, hey girls! I didn’t notice you were here! *she’s still concentrating on the screen and her driving* We went looking for you guys and then just decided to come over to the arcade. *she passes the finish line and then turns around* So, what’s up?

Holman+Titus: *both turn around, smile, and say* Hey ladies.

Casey: You’re 3 hours late Alli! What? Did you expect us to be waiting for you the whole time?

Alli: No, I didn’t. That’s why we checked first, and then came over here. I figured you guys would be around here somewhere since Macy’s is next door. So, did you get anything?

Casey: No, not for myself anyways. *she holds out a big bag decorated with red flames* I knew you’d at least like the bag.

Rami+Amah: Happy Birthday! *they give her a big hug*

Casey: *smiles* We all got you a little something. We hope you like it.

Alli: *anxiously opens it and takes out something that’s wrapped up* Hey, more wrapping? *she laughs and then tears off the wrapping. Out come some leather gloves with the fingers cut off* You guys! *she smiles and then puts the wrapping back into the bag and feels something else* More? Cool. *She takes out a silver lighter with blue flames*

Amah: We tried to find a black one with blue flames to match your bike, but we had no luck.

Alli: You guys are amazing! *She gets up and hugs each of them* And you guys didn’t get me anything? *She looks at Titus and Holman*

Titus: Yeah we did.

Holman: We were just waiting for the girls to get here.

Titus: *from his pocket he takes out a little box*

Holman: We weren’t sure if you’d like it or not, but we thought it suited you.

Titus: *opens it and it is a necklace with what looks like: *

Alli: It looks antique. What is it?

Holman: It’s been in our family for many years. It is the D-rune dagaz-- the sign for day. It is a rune of beginnings and endings.

Titus: You are our beginning.

Alli: Aw, how sweet! *She grabs the necklace and tries to put it on* I think I have too much hair. Can one of you guys help? *Holman steps up and she holds her hair to the side as he puts it on her* Thanks. *She hugs Holman, and then Titus*

Casey: How funny, there’s Matt with that Melissa girl. Funny how we keep running into them.

Alli: Well, I'd say that we should go over and say hi, but they look like they don’t want to be bothered. *Melissa looks coldly at Alli, but no one notices it but Alli* What the…?

Amah: She was so sweet! They look so cute together.

Rami: It’s kind of disproportionate. He’s tall, but she’s even taller! But whatever floats his boat.

Casey: *giggles* Well, I think we should say hi.

Holman+Titus: *seem to be in a trance and start walking after Casey says this*

Casey: Well, I guess we better catch up to the guys.

Alli: *is confused, but walks along with the girls* Hey Matt.

Matt: Oh, hey Alli, girls. I didn’t see you there. You know Melissa. We just saw a movie and were headed out. Oh, happy b-lated birthday Alli, it was on the 4th right?

Alli: *all the girls look at her, as well as Titus* Yeah, it was.

Matt: I haven’t had time to find you a present…

Melissa: *nudges him and looks deep into his eyes and smiles*

Matt: Well, we have to go. Bye everyone. *He walks off as if in a hurry*

Alli: He’s acting weird, don’t you guys think? *She turns around and sees almost everyone angry with her*

Casey: I thought you said your birthday was today! Not a week ago!

Alli: Um, I completely forgot about it and my sister Mary did too. I mean, she made some cookies, but didn’t say anything. I remembered the next day and just figured I’d tell you it was today. *Tries to act happy and change the subject* So, where are we headed off to?

Amah: I don’t know now. Since it’s not your birth-day, it’s not as special as before.

Alli: What are you talking about?

Titus: So, that’s why Mary was acting as if your birthday wasn’t today. But you seemed to know it wasn’t… Holman.

Holman: She told me last night, I would have told you, but I wasn’t sure whether she knew what she was saying.

They all argue and Alli looks strangely at them.
