I agree wholeheartedly with Leirra's views on courtesy. Please extend the following applications to any other guildmember's services and favors, be it jewelry, armor, teleporting, sowing, etc. Please be kind to conscientious of your guildfellows, especially when they are doing you huge favors.

I have been asked on occaision to make jewely for guild members, and please understand that I do not mind doing so, but some bad experiences have me posting my guidlines here. This is only a partial rant, but I think you will still find my terms more acceptable than 95% of the rest of Norrath.

1. When I quote a guild member a price, it is for guild members who intend to wear said jewelry. It is not to turn around and sell for a profit or to non guild members. If your friend in that other guild wants me to make something for him, he pays office rates.
2. The price I quote reflects the material involved rounded up to the nearest platinum (ish). For example, an electrum star ruby ring (+5 dex/+7 charisma) costs 68+ pp at he merchant and the electrum bar costs 2.5pp. When I say I can make it for 71pp, please doe not ask for a 'special price.' If you can buy for less than this you are welcome to bring me materials, but I have good faction and shop with a 160+ charisma. Also understand that I might fail making it, and I will NOT eat that cost either. I have already had to pay some 1500pp to get my jewelcraft skill to where it is, so you have to pay for failed attempts. Sorry, but that is the way it is.
3. SOMETIMES (!!!!!) I might be willing to deliver said item. This will be at my convenience. If I have a good group in a good location, I will probably not give it up just to march across norrath to deliver a ring. If I do, then I feel that the minute I embark on this journey, we have a deal. If something changes, please le me know ASAP. Also, once I have bought materials, I feel you have bought the jewelry in question. I have spent my money at that point, and I am out the money in question. If you find some other deal, I am sorry. I have been burned twice by guild members on this, and have been left hanging after spending a fair amount of money and time, and I am getting a little 'gunshy' about making these deals when I get left holding the bag.
4. Steins of Moggok. (related)I occaisionally make a stein run for guild members. This is an involved quest that takes considerable time all over Norrath including a somewhat dangerous run into Oggok. I have sold these outside the guild for as much as 1000pp. Please do not ask me to shut down exp and make this 4 hour run for '50 gold.' This is how I finance jewelcraft, and I need the money. I am generally willing to fetch them for guild members for 450pp. If you can find a better deal, take it, but that is how I price my time.
5. Exceptions: There are certain guild members for whom I will make special exceptions for my own reasons. If I feel like hiking from Kerra Island to Crushbone to deliver some trinket to Elowyna or Alandanir (to name a couple, there are others), that is my decision as it is my time. They EARNED this courtesy from me and they get special treatment for it. When you've pulled a couple of Aviak harriers off my little elfin butt and gated across the world a couple of times for me, then you'll get the same treatment. I NEVER forget friends or enemies. If you have, (hypothetically of course) claimed you were logging off, then disbanded our group in Highpass Hold and then reformed it without me without so much as speaking to me (or giving me a reason), you get a different kind of exception (you know who you are and now you know not to ask).

There has been concern regarding being singled out. This was in regards to the new officer message board. Let it be known that this was not the purpose, but rather, it was made so that the officers could have a convenient location to discuss officer issues (for instance, handing out new passwords, kicking someone out who violated the guidelines, surprise events, etc). I am debating whether or not we really need this board because the officers can just e-mail each other just as conveniently. Perhaps when y'all are ready, we can change this board to replace the public message board.

There are a few changes to this board.

• I made a few changes to the original message board, which is now labelled "Public Forum." I changed the order of the message display so that the newest messages will appear on the bottom of the list and changed the expiry date of a posting from 60 days to 14 days. I also changed the color scheme so that the mail is clearer. I am currently unable to access this old board for some reason, so I would like to transition this board to the new gamersx forum format that the other two forums are using. Let me know when you are ready to make the transition.
• I reinstated the new message board that was removed previously and labelled it "Private Forum." This is where we will discuss critical private issues for the Vigilantes. Please be sure to check both forums regularly. The password is the same as last time. Remember that for all the alphabetical characters in the password, it is all lower case. You will need to register as a user in the private message board first before logging in. Make your own password first and then use the message board password when entering.
• There is now an officers-only message board so we can talk behind your back. tee-hee. If you're an officer, the password for this board has already been given you before; it is the password to edit this message board and access other parts of it. I will e-mail this password to you again just in case you forgot. Note : If you have already registered with a gamersx forum (ie. our private forum), you need only use that same account and don't need to register again.
• I password-protected our KoS list. The password for this list is the same password used for the private forum.

There is now a new chat room installed. Unfortunately, Beseen seems to be having a few problems, as their message board and chat room server seems to be wacky, at least for me. If you can get in, congrats. You will need to fill in an easy sign-up form and then you'll be able to chat with whoever's online who should be working but isn't.

Thanks to Nbokkol's reference, we have a new message board that looks nicer, displays cleaner, and has password protection. Please ask any of the officers for the password via /tell only for security reasons. Officers, please be sure to mention that password only via /tell and only to people who have a right to be in the guild (ie. not Izarz, Prettyboyfloyd, or Ninini).
