PRIZMATIC ALLIANCE

Let the Vigilantes rejoice with loud instruments (too bad we don't have any bards)! Prizmatic Alliance, a guild of five or so people, including the great Kelton, whom we all love, will temporarily disband and join our guild. We hope that this is a permanent transition. It's great to have these new brothers in our guild!

SCREENSHOTS, ETC.

Please make some nice screenshots of some of your expeditions, group parties, or whatever you think is interesting regarding the Vigilantes for me. If you can, please use a graphics editor and shrink, brighten, and touch up the image so that it is a reasonable pic for the page. Please use F10 to remove all extraneous graphics from the page (push once to go to fullscreen, push again to remove textbox and other windows from screen so all you see is the EQ environment) and F9 to adjust the camera (ALT-left and ALT-right can sometimes rotate the camera view, ALT-up and ALT-down can change the camera zoom, and Pg Up and Pg Down can change the camera angle). To take the actual screenshot, push the minus key nearest to your number keypad. Currently there is a temporary screenshot page with one humongous, dark screenshot, which I hope to shrink, brighten, and touch up a little this weekend.

Also, please, when you get a chance, send me your updated info for the member list as well as personal bio and screenshots.

Finally, for those able to make quests and quest ideas, please send them to me to put up on the quest list.

RANKING SYSTEM

I have added a ranking system to the guild, it is not designed to hurt feelings or anything of the sort. It is just there so you know where you stand, and if, by chance, you want to increase your status in the guild, then you should get involved more and your name recognized. You can assist others, respond to cries for help, and just be more guild oriented and not lvl thirsty. I hope no one feels neglected here, its just the initial process of ranking, and will be changed thoughout the coming weeks.

Here is a list of the following RANKS and their corresponding entittlements:

Officer : You are a leader and are autonomous, yet a part of a council. Officers are the government of the guild and must do what is in the best interest of the guild and not the individual, they must value others feelings and balance vigilance with mercy.

Captain : This is just short of the rank of officer, these few will be the next to become officers. When recruiting one just need ask an officer to put someone in the guild. They needn't ask for permission, they are just letting the officer know you want that person invited. The captains are long term members of the guild of great nobility and are highly respected for their wisdom.

Guard : The guard is a high ranking member of the guild. They need only check with an officer when recruiting other members, they are valued for their long term commitment to the guild and their fortitude.

Member : The members are the bulk of the guild they retain all benefits of the guild and may sponsor. They are the vigilantes and are just guided by their superiors.

Recruit : The recruit is the newbie of the guild and does recieve most guild benefits, they may not sponsor as of yet, and needs to prove him/herself. There is no specific time alotted to when a recruit becomes a member, it is just bestowed on them.

NAJENA : THE RETURN

Our second expedition to Najena was quite a bit more troublesome than we had hoped it would be. Interruptions from people like Sentinol stealing the first JBoot that appeared after 15hrs of waiting gave us quite a delay. As far as I know, only two people got JBoots from this expedition : Cannabus and I. In any case, I would like to honor three people in particular -- Berlie, Elowyna, and Uzzn.

Elowyna simply didn't have to be there, but she was. She was there to help us get our jboots, and she stayed there for hours and hours and hours selflessly helping us to the point where we had to bring in reinforcements to relieve her and make her go to sleep. Thank you, Elowyna! I consider Elowyna our guild mother. hehe.
Uzzn was similarly very helpful. When Cannabus couldn't take it any more after 30+ hours of camping, he passed out at his keyboard. Uzzn came and tried his best to help the campers and made sure to hold Cannabus's first-in-line spot until he came back several hours later. Uzzn is cool. Talk about guild material! :)
Berlie camped all weekend helping us get boots, and every night she kept having to leave before getting her boots because she had work the next day. She was always selfless and patient, and stuck it in there even without getting the boots that she was there for. She deserves honor for her extra effort and patience despite the unfortunate conclusion of being bootless.
Thank you also, Cannabus, Snakke, Gartic, Sanzanj (he should quit his guild and join us!!!), and Seijuurou (who thinks he's a cow). They stuck it in there for as long as they could. Special thanks to Darksoldierz and Seventh, who helped us reclaim the Drelzna room after an overwhelming train disaster, and for Darksoldierz who reasoned with Seventh to prevent him from cutting in line.

NAJENA COMMENDATIONS

*sigh* My quest to find a fair maiden to wed is seemingly a futile one.
ANYWAY, I would like to commend all of you on a wonderful job at Najena this weekend. Hopefully, we will be able to return to serve some of our members who weren't able to get what they came for. I would like to honor a couple of members that I saw were exceptional in their helpfulness during our expedition.

Narcane spent two days in a row helping our guildmembers get flowing black robes and journeyman boots and gained absolutely nothing from it-- not even experience. He gave of himself freely for the good of this guild and deserves recognition and honor from the rest of our guild.
Rumgug helped sacrificially and beneficially by helping a large portion of our guild to recover from an incident in Nektulos forest with corpse retrieval, guiding, and protection. Rumgug exceeded by far what was expected of him. I would like to honor him for his giving and caring nature, despite his occassional cravings for pumplings. In addition to this, I would like to commend him for being an EXCELLENT party leader. He has brought members of our guild to new horizons, hunting in Lake Rathe, Aviak City, Czazic Thule, Runnyeye, Najena, and other places. He is a giving, selfless leader, who would wish his own death over others. Countless times he'd tell us to run while staying behind to take the brunt of trains. He deserves high honor for being a wonderful leader and a great friend.
Alandanir, Pharomon, Balu, and Narcane assisted us by going in between the Najena and Drelzna rooms providing support when things got out of hand. Their selfless efforts to help us regain control of the two rooms were invaluable to say the least and they deserve recognition for this.
Evir deserves high honor and recognition for his selflessness, his devotion to the guild, and for countless other reasons. Personally, when I was in severe trouble and about to die, he threw himself in front of me to save my life. He died and I lived. What sacrifice! He was also one of the first to respond to Nibudyen's cries for help. Instead of waiting on line for the jboots, he left the line and went to freeport to help his brother the best he could. Narcane was also one of those who came to help. Evir was one of the first to get his flowing black robes, but ended up giving his to someone else who had to leave and ended up being one of the last before Narcane to get his flowing black robes again after a grueling two days of hunting Najena, which cancelled his opportunity to get on line for the jboots-- he could've had them by now. Evir is also one of the first Vigilantes to punish a serial murderer in Qeynos Hills most expeditiously. The list just goes on and on...
Thanks to Narcane, Paka, Balu, Pharomon, and others for starting this whole expedition. It was much appreciated.

I'm sure there were countless other heroic deeds done by members of this great guild, but I wasn't there to see them for myself. If you were overlooked, I apologize-- even if I forgot to mention you, you were greatly appreciated when you did what you did for the good of the guild, and I commend you also with high honors. Please let me know at aanladil@hotmail.com if you were overlooked or if you would like to honor someone in this listing. Hopefully, we will set up an honors and awards system on this webpage. Anyway, thank you all for a great weekend at Najena!

Well, the VIGILANTES stormed Najena and were able to secure a small number of Jboots and FBR's, it was a lengthy but glorious battle with few setbacks. We will be camping again, today as well, and those members who didnt get a pair of boots, I apologize and will help you get a set. Congrats to all and good fight!

Eventually, we will need to set some policies regarding appropriate news postings, approvals, etc. Anyway, I took a look at the webpage and it looks nice. I made a few tweaks (mostly spelling and grammar fixes-- I hope you don't mind), added some member information, and made a personal bio for myself. heh. I have too much fun with this stuff.
ANYWAY, if you're not on the member list and would like to be on it or if you want to make a bio, please contact one of us to get that started. Please be patient with us though, because we are all very busy people in real life. heh

Welcome to the grand opening of the Vigilantes home page. At this stage of our development we are still in our infancy and looking for methods to better facilitate guild requirements. With suggestions and constructive criticism, we can hopefully generate a resourceful guild page. Links to Maps, Quests, Assignments, Guild Roles, Zone Information, Member Profiles, Tips, and a Message Board will be added to the arsenal in the near future to assist in making the Vigilantes the most powerful and respected guild on Rallos Zek. In addition, Guild policies and procedures will soon be implemented to ensure balance in the guild. It is our hope that this site will prove to be a valuable resource which will ensure exceptional gameplay and experience while in the world of EQ. The implementation of all these features will take sometime but hopefully it will be well worth the wait. Like Narcane, our fearless leader, once told me on guildsay, "We must learn to crawl before we walk...".
