2-20- Daytona 500-Look out! Here Comes the Man! What a way to start the season! Takes a chance, has a little luck, and some skill and wins his 3rd Daytona 500! Awesome! A fantastic finish!
2-27- Auto Club 500-Bad Day! Running in top 5 with about 10 laps to go and looses a cylinder. Finishes 30th. Since nobody is saying anything, ROUSH IS CHEATING! Just felt like I needed to say that since Jack Roush use to say that about Jeff Gordon back in the 1990's, when they couldn't beat him!
3-13- UAW/DaimlerCrysler 400-Good Day! Might have had a shot to win this one if not for Ryan Newman running into Jeff to get around him, then ends up dropping back anyway. Jeff did come back and bump Ryan. I am glad to see Jeff retaliate, even if it was just a tap. Jeff finished 4th.
3-20- Golden Corral 500-Didn't even get a chance! Caught up in big accident on the 1st lap. Jeff did complete 214 laps for 39th place. Can't afford to many more weeks like this. Gets knocked back to 12th in point standings.
4-3- Food City 500-14th place finish. Better than last week! Had some bad luck with tires and caught up in an accident again! Can't get a break!
4-10- Advanced Auto Parts 500-WIN #2!! Went 3 laps down early in the race because of a loose tire. Takes the lead with 34 laps remaining! Guess Jeff still has it! The magic is still there! Probably the only one crying this week is Kurt Busch! Looks like he needs a new spotter!
4-17- Samsung/RadioShack 500-Not the best of days. Finished 15th. Better than wrecking! Moves up 1 to 5th in the points.
4-23- Subway Fresh 500-Struggles all day. Finished 12th.
5-1- Aaron's 499-WIN #3! Avoided the big crashes by staying out front all day! No doubt Jeff had the best car! Dominated the race and led 139 laps!
5-7- Dodge Charger 500-Finished 2nd! Had a good car on the short runs, but faded on long runs. Might have won if he had a couple more laps!
5-14- Chevy American Revolution 400-BAD DAY! Hits the wall avoiding Rusty Wallace spin. Jeff's 3rd DNF this year.
5-21- Nextel All-Star Challenge*-Finished 4th in this non-point race for the money event!
5-29- Coca Cola 600-Unbelievable. Taken out in an accident caused by impatient team mate Brian Vickers. Jeff clearly had a car that could have won this race. This is Jeff's 4th DNF, but still is 5th in the point standings.
6-5- MBNA Racepoints 400-Another DNF thanks to Tony "Shitty Pants" Stewart. (Quote by Tony Stewart "Jeff is always whining like that. I mean, if somebody does something to Jeff, it's always their fault, that is just Jeff Gordon.") Imagine that! When you do something to somebody intentionally, it is your fault Tony! I guess Jeff just turned his car into the wall all by himself! Tony didn't have a thing to do with it! Jeff vowed the next time Tony holds him up, it won't be for long! I only hope he has the balls to follow through. Jeff is way over due for some retaliation on Tony Stewart. I can't believe that NASCAR is still allowing Tony to get away with his rough driving. Don't you think guys are going to take things into their own hands if NASCAR continues to cater to the cry baby TONY STEWART!
6-21- Pocono 500-Finished well (9th), considering Jeff had to start at the back. Still waiting for Jeff's retaliation on Tony Stewart from last week. I don't think Jeff has the nerve.
6-19- Batman Begins 400-Looks like Jeff is going to lay down! Tire problems? Scared? What's the problem? Lost your nerve? Come on, drive the car on the edge like you use to do! No guts, no glory! Better step it up a notch or won't be there for the big show! Finished a disappointing 32nd.
6-26- Dodge/SaveMart 350K-Better get with it real quick! Finished 33rd due to transmission linkage problems. Slips to 14th in points and out of the chase.
7-2- Pepsi 400-Finished 7th! That's a little better. Need to win a couple of races right away! Moves to 13th in points and barely back in the chase.
7-10- USG Sheetrock 400-This could be the beginning of the end for Jeff. Finished 33rd after being taken out by Mike Bliss. 6th DNF this season! If it weren't for bad luck, he'd have no luck at all! Slips to 15th in points. Better finish in top five in next 8 races or you can kiss the chance for a 5th championship good-by!! Involved in to many accidents, most of which were caused by someone else.
7-17- New England 300-Had a good day going and brakes failed late in the race. Fell back to 25th. Time is running out.
7-24- Pennsylvania 500-I think time has run out. 6 races to go and it's not looking good. Finished 13th today. Needs top 5's! I'm not sure that will get the job done now.
8-7- All State 400 @ The Brickyard-A good run. Finished 8th. Jeff is now 87 points out of the chase. Their is still a chance he will make it, but he has to make top ten finishes. Preferably, top 5! Can't make any mistakes now!
8-14- Sirius @ the Glen-Jeff's bad luck continues. Started 14th and worked his way to the front, led a lap and was running in 2nd and had a tire go down. This put him at the back of the field. Managed to work his way back to 14th. Not out of the chase yet, but needs some help from the drivers in front of him.
8-21- GFS Marketplace 400-Finished 15th. Not exactly a good finish. 3 races left before the chase. Jeff will need top 5 finishes to make the chase. Looks like Jeff should look into a new crew chief. Robbie Loomis doesn't seem to know how to adjust the car. Of course we have seen a lot of this in the last 4 years!
8-27 -Sharpie 500-6th place finish! Should have been better. Some bad calls in the pits. Moves into 10th in the points! It will be tough to stay there! 2 more races before the chase, needs to have top 5 finishes.
9-4- Sony HD 500-Finished 21st. Chances of making the chase are pretty slim. 34 pts. out with one race left. Needs a little help from the guys in front of him.
9-10- Chevy Rock and Roll 400- DID NOT MAKE THE CHASE! Finished 30th. Got put into the wall by another driver half way thru the race. Probably would not have finished well enough to make the chase anyway. Robbie Lomis should be leaving as crew chief at the end of the year! It's about time! I hope Jeff gets someone that knows what they are doing! Robbie's heart is not in it anymore.(was it ever?) He made enough money so it's time to retire!
9-18- Sylvania 300-Finished 14th. Finally got rid of Robbie Lomis. Can the new kid, Steve Letarte (26 yr's old), cut the mustard as crew chief? Only time will tell! Didn't seem to make a difference this week!
9-25- MBNA 400-Jeff's bad luck continues. Finished 37th. Caught up in someone elses accident again. I guess we will have to wait until next year!
10-2- UAW-Ford 500-Caught up in another accident! Didn't stand a chance. Thanks to Ryan Newman. I guess that's the way to win a championship; just take out the competition!
10-9- Banquet 400-Finally finished 10th. Stayed out of trouble today. Still wondering if Steve Letarte can make a good crew chief. So far not, but willing to give him a chance.
10-15- UAW-GM Quality 500-It's bad enough that Jeff has been taken out of some of the races, but to take yourself out! Drops to 17th in the points.
10-23- Subway 500-FINALLY A WIN!!! Looks like Steve Latarte may have what it takes! Or did he just get lucky this week? Only time will tell. At least things are looking up!
10-30- MBNA Bass Pro 500-To little, to late! Jeff finishes 2nd! Looks like Steve Latarte is getting the job done! To bad for Jimmie Johnson, who has Robbie Loomis as an consultant! I think his bad luck is rubbing off on Jimmie!
11-6- Dickies 500-Finished 14th. No thanks to Brian Vickers, Jeff's team mate, who wouldn't let Jeff by, then proceeded to slide up into Jeff, causing damage to his car.
11-13- Checker Auto Parts 500-Finished 3rd! Trying to build momentum for next year. Can they maintain it into next year? We'll see!
11-20- Ford 400-Finishes 9th! Finished 11th in the point standings. Jeff's worst finish in points since his rookie season. Hopefully, Jeff can carry the momentum into next year, and bring home his 5th championship!
