"EDITORIAL" Since NASCAR went to the chase format, there are more and more empty seats at the races and lower TV ratings. Yet another change in 2014! For the better? NOT!!! Why not chase some more fans off? Maybe this format is exciting for the big shots at NASCAR, but ask the fans what they want. Doesn't that make more since than just shoving it down every bodies throats. I have become less and less interested in NASCAR since they went to the chase format. In my opinion, the regular season is pretty much meaningless. Win a race and you are in the chase! It doesn't matter if you get DNF's on the other 25 races before the chase. Win one race and be last in points and you still get in the chase. What's wrong with this picture?
MEMORABLE MOMENTS! 8-15-2004- Tony Stewart craps his pants during race at Watkins Glen! He had to rush off right after winning the race to change his diaper!!! Way to go Tony!!!
2-18-2001 - A sad day in NASCAR HISTORY. Dale Earnhardt Sr. dies in crash at Daytona. A tremendous loss to the racing world. There is no one to blame in this tragic accident. This is the risk every driver takes when he climbs into that race car. Dale knew this. There is one bright spot in all of this and that is Dale went out doing what he loved most and that was RACING! Remember, Dale Earnhardt Sr. is a legend and legends never die!
