-Created in 1968 by Canadian Forces Reorganization Act- This act unified the Army, Navy, and Air Force, into one force called “The Canadian Armed Forces.”
-Commanded by a chief of defense staff.
-The Canadian Forces groups include- The Land Force Command, Maritime Command, Air Command, Canadian Forces Communication Command, The Canadian Forces Training System, and The Headquarters Northern Area.
-Canadian was one of the first to join NATO.
-Some of the vehicles used by Canada are- diesel-electric submarines, supply ships, CF-18 Fights/bombers, CF- 5 fighter, CC-130 Hercules, Boeing 707, Air bus A310, etc.
-Weapons include self-propelled howitzers, field guns, antitank weapons, handheld surface-to-air missiles and air defense missiles.
