chapter 16~on the road again

I sat in the back of the tourbus, staring longingly out the window. I dreamed of the things that life would bring, and was happy with the fact that these were the only things I wanted to live for. Being with Zac, I felt like my life was complete. As if it were a movie, with a planned plot, and things that happened right on cue, Zac walked in and sat beside me on the couch. "I made you some hot cocoa." Zac smiled. I smiled at him and kissed his cheek, taking a mug of hot cocoa from his hand. He sat beside me, and I curled up against his chest. He was very muscular. I leant down, listening to his heart beating. I sighed pleasantly to myself. I didn't ever want things to change.

Zac and I sat comfortably for a while, discussing Christmas, which was only a week away. Once we made it to Florida we planned to get some shopping done. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

It was strange to step out of the tourbus the next morning in Florida. Despite the fact that it was December, the sun shone brightly, and I even opted to remove my jacket. I sat down at a picnic table outside the coloseum, and watched the guys bring their instruments into the building. I guess I could have helped, but everyone was in a lazy mood, so I decided to keep quiet and sit still. I watched as Isaac carried his guitar into the hall. He was wearing brown cords and a black shirt. His short curly hair fell in and around his face. I smiled at him as he passed. Though I was getting to know him quite well, he was still the mystery I had once imagined. I never knew how to categorize him. He was everything, it was strange. He was a really great friend though.

Taylor walked by carrying two cases containing his keyboards. Even now that I knew him he was this image of perfection to me. Not that I had a crush on him, I just never seemed to see him doing something un-perfect, except for that one dreadful night. Since then Taylors seemed to do a 180 turnaround, and if you hadn't known what had happened, you wouldn't notice. I often wonder if Taylor does that for the fans and his image. Bottle things up. Its very possible, and that would probably explain alot. "Hey Adz." Taylor said to me, stopping to rest his arms and fix his hair.

Next came Zac, he looked a mess. He was wearing bright orange pants, and a red shirt. They didn't match, and that was something I loved about him. It was adorable the way he just didn't know. I watched him struggle to pull about ten cases all at once, each containing parts of his drum set. He had three in each hand, one around his neck, four going up the length of his left leg, and dragged two with his right foot. He hopped along, desperately trying to make his way to the door. I laughed to myself. "Need some help Zac?" I asked, as he fell to the groud, cases scattering everywhere. Zac looked up at me, pushing a case from off his head. He smiled weakly. "Please!" was his response. I giggled making my way over to him. "You're so crazy."
