Southern WV Music & Arts Festival
Benefiting Jesco White, The Boone County Dancing Outlaw
Jescofest 2006 will be held in Hinton, WV on August 26th & 27th at Hinton Sidetrack Wild Water Express. The festival will feature artists from all over the country meeting at Hinton to celebrate the one and only Dancing Outlaw, Jesco White. The festival will be to benefit Jesco and to help provide him with water and wood for this upcoming winter. The festival comes on the heels of Jesco's 50th Birthday and also the 15 year anniversary of the Dancing Outlaw documentary. The following information will be updated and new information will be added as it becomes available! Jesco looks forward to meeting with his fans and hopes to see you there!
UPDATE:
Jescofest was indeed a hit this year! Videos and photos of the event can be found on the Jescofest website located at www.jescofest.com ! You won't be disappointed!
It would appear that sometimes help comes when it's needed the most. It's sad to report that after all these years, we just learned a few days ago that Jesco is going to be evicted from his holler in the coming months. His landlady's family sold the property he's rented and lived on and Jesco's future is now very uncertain. So, it would appear that the timing for JESCOFEST 2006 has come when the Dancing Outlaw really needs it.
