Becoming Invisible
How to be Invisible
By Erik Johnson

1.Wear Camouflage If you do not have your own your own set of camouflage, and can't rent a pair, wear black. The human eye can easily distinguish colors that don't belong. On the other hand, black is a natural color in the environment. Shadows. Fallen logs. Black will work much better than any other color if you do not have camouflage.

2. Stay close to the ground The more erect you are, the greater the chance you will be seen by an opponent and become a target. Some players squish themselves up into a little ball or lay prone on the ground, but a low crouch, with your legs under you ready to propel you into cover our out of the line of fire, is the best position to be in. Your legs will get used to this position the more you play.

3 Use Cover Those trees, rocks and obstacles on the playing field are perfect to hide behind! Don't stand out in the open where you make a perfect silhouette and target of yourself.

4.Be careful when you move. Try to move extremely slowly and fluidly, like a cat. Or, make sure cover masks your movement: trees, rocks, fallen logs, and thick brush. Some players slither across the playing field like a snake. If you aren't ready to go that far, at least move in a low crouch position. And try not to grab onto any nearby saplings or branches for support. Bumping into tress or steadying yourself by grabbing a sapling sets higher branches and foliage in motion, giving away your position.

5. Be Quiet Another thing that gives your position away: Noise. If you must communicate with your teammates, use basic hand signals or soft whispers if you want to remain invisible. There will be plenty of time for shouting once you are discovered or spring your ambush. Also make sure you don't have any clothing or equipment that makes noise, clanging and banging and swishing away your location to the ears of a suspicious opponent.

6. Stay Alert Whether you are advancing into your opponent's territory or waiting in ambush for them keep all your senses sharp. Study the terrain in front of you and to each side. Try to identify good cover that you might be able to use or that your opponents might try to use. Use your eyes to watch for movement, unusual color, human outlines, and a swaying branch when there is no wind, the angular silhouette of equipment. Listen for conversation. A cough. A sneeze. A snapping branch. When moving forward, always anticipate that your opponent might be practicing being invisible too!
