Sarah came to Erinsborough from the UK to stay with her sister, Catherine, while she was trying to get away from an ex boyfriend who she left because she didn’t love him. She thought she was safe in Australia until he found where she was staying and came to Australia to try and win her back but had no luck.
Sarah’s profession was a model and had no experience in anything else so it was hard for her to find a job. She opened a clothes shop with a partner. That supplied her money for rent for a while until the shop was closed down for reasons. Her sister Catherine then left to go on a world trip with her boyfriend, Mal Kennedy. So Sarah was left with the house. Ben Atkins moved in with Sarah and that took care of some of the rent.
Sarah then got a job with Karl in the surgery as a secretary and began studying for a nursing degree.
