STRYDER
Stryder was my first dane. He came from a show breeder
in Minnesota and was by far the smartest dane I have
had in 30 years. All my other danes got tired of
hearing "Stryder would have known how to do that!"
The day he took the door knob in his mouth, turned his
head and opened the door I knew I wasn't dealing with
an ordinary animal! One day I heard him crying in the back yard. I looked
out the window and could see him cringing and crouched down but couldn't see
anything else out there. So I went outside and discovered the problem. Poor Stryder
was just out there minding his own business and the grackles were diving out of the
sky and pecking him on the head! **********************************************************
