In very recent news I quit my job to write and go to school. This change came much quicker than I expected so even I haven't really adjusted yet. Today I read and walked around Capital Hill. Yesterday I spent shopping for an MP3 player, realizing I jumped into buying something without doing any research first, which I know from experience is a bad thing to do. I relyed on the information the salesman gave me which was entirely bogus. I suppose I was taken by his blond hair, puppydog blue eyes and scruffy beard. As it is, no harm is done because I will be able to return the ipod tomorrow, but I've learned my lesson: research first.

I was pretty unhappy in my job so this windfall event has certainly come at a good time. With camping season beginning I will be able to spend more time in the woods with Bruce. I'm sticking to a three-day-a-week work schedule so that writing doesn't become a drag as well. I have enough money to get me through a few months, but eventually I will have to get a part-time job just to meet my rent and keep me fed. This time no credit cards! They are the bane of my existance. I'm paying cash for everything.

There is just so much I want to do now that I'm feeling a little overwhelmed. There are things I need to do, things I want to do and things I've planned to do. I suppose I should have been better prepared for this, my astrologer said this would be a very productive time for realizing my goals. I feel lacking a direction even though I know what I have to do next. Oi!
