Red Special (Deschutes River Dee) 
Designed by Andrew Marshall - Dressed by Monte Smith

"Red Special (Deschutes River Dee)", the third in the Deschutes River Dee Series designed by Oregon fly fisherman and tyer Andrew Marshall is perhaps the most colorful to date. The married wings is an element more familiar in Classic Atlantic Salmon flies and adds a classic touch to these flies, that none-the-less, look very effective. Contributing fly tyer Monte Smith, a friend of Mr. Marshall, tied "Red Special".

The flies in this series are quite remarkable and I was as excited about presenting them as Monte was in tying them. Thank you Andrew Marshall and Monte Smith.
