Fancy Spade comes from the bench of Salmonfly.Net Contributing Fly Tyer William Lovelace.

Bill's notes: "Northwest legend Alec Jackson has fancied up the Spade with his flashier well known versions of Arnold’s original. Alec proposes that as steelhead move inland their vision starts to deteriorate and so a wider body profile is more visible and attractive to fish."
