Bill's Notes: This is almost my normal tie on a 2 or 3 XL nymph hook for an October Caddis Soft Hackle. I tied this at the International Fly Fishing Fair in West Yellowstone with the flashy twist from my series of the Electric Soft Hackle. It was designed for the big fall trout running up the Madison River from Hebgen Lake. I wasn’t disappointed with the local fish response while fishing this in Steelheading like conditions so I named it for the Madison and put it on a black iron.
