Hook Size 6 to 12, Salmon Hook

Tag Flat or Oval Silver Tinsel
Tail Golden Pheasant Red Breast Feather, Wound
Rear Body Orange Seal
Ribbing Oval Silver Tinsel
Middle Hackle Creamy Badger Hackle
Front Body Black Seal

This pattern came from the fine book by Peter O'Reilly, Trout & Salmon Flies of Ireland. He writes that there are several color variations of this fly achieved by changing the rear body color. Badger & Red and Badger and Golden Olive are examples. This is a simple to tie but effective pattern, especially for dull, overcast days.
