Jock Scott

Jock Scott

This version of the venerable Jock Scott, was tied by Dr. David Burns. You can also see more of Dr. Burns' flies at The Flies of Dr. David Burns.

Dr. Burns' emailed me about a fly he tied called MacJock and compared this Jock Scott to it. This was his email: "Here's this year's contribution to the Shepherd's Home auction. It's a remote likeness to a Jock Scott (see above) that I call the MacJock. It is bright! Seems like the bright flies sell well. The cheeks are dyed by John McLain to look like Indian crow. You can see the real deal in the tail of the attached Jock Scott (above)."
