Tail Moose body / mane
Body Yellow Uni-stretch
Wing Dark dun turkey flats
Hackle Dun
Head Black

Generic Mayfly was tied by Ken Broadhead. You will find many more of his exceptional flies,  at The Flies of Ken Broadhead.

Ken's Notes: I know this a salmon/steelhead site but have to include it. I got this idea from H.G. Tappley The Sportsman's Notebook. He called it the “Nearinuf”. I tie this fly in any body / hackle color. …The only constants being turkey flat wings (although other flank feathers can be used), and the sparse moose tail/mane fibers.
