Black Ranger

Black Ranger

Tag: Silver twist and yellow silk floss.

Tail: A topping and Indian Crow.

Butt: Black Ostrich herl.

Body: Black silk floss.

Ribs: Silver tinsel (oval).

Hackle: Natural black, from second turn of tinsel.

Throat: Light blue hackle.

Wings: Four tippets, partly overlapping and enveloping two projecting Jungle Cock (back to back) and a topping.

Cheeks: Chatterer.

Horns: Blue Macaw.

Head: Black Berlin Wool.

This version of  Black Ranger was tied by Contributing Fly Tyer, Mike Boyer, who was the second tyer to start contributing his flies to Salmonfly.Net. His contributions began in 1998.
