Name	The Doctor Mummy
Category	Pacific Salmon
Hook	Single salmon
Thread	Scarlet silk
Tag	Three or four turns of narrow gold tinsel
Tail	Small bunch of golden pheasant tippet fibers
Butt	Natural peacock herl
Body	Tied full with black floss
Ribbing	Gold oval tinsel
Throat	Orange hackle wound on collar style then tied back
Underwing	Half a dozen fibers from the center tail feather of a pheasant
Wing	A natural mallard flank feather tied on flat over the collar and under wing
Head	Built up with Scarlet tying silk and lacquered, this will produce the wonderful garnet finish as seen here

Ard's Notes: Originated about 1930 by William L Beaty A commercial fly dresser from Montana. He was ask by a Dr. Mummy of Denver Colorado to tie a fly pattern for him and the fly was named after the person who commissioned the work, thus, The Dr. Mummy. (Information courtesy Joseph D.
