RUSSIAN BULLETT - SILVER DOCTOR BLUE

RUSSIAN BULLETT - SILVER DOCTOR BLUE

Tube: Aluminum or Brass Shumakov Long Range Tube with at least 3 inches of inner liner tube. Color the slots on the Shumakov tube with Hot Pink nail polish or paint. Melt the back end of the liner tube and slip on the Shumakov LR Tube. Then add three cones onto the liner tube, in front of the Shumakov Tube. The Flex Tube (hot pink for this pattern) can be added after the fly is completed for the junction tube. See picture below.

Thread: Black 6/0

Tail: Purple cock hackle wound on and topped with a small bunch of SD Blue Arctic Fox. Top with a few strands of pearlescent Crystal Flash. Tie off and create a “head”. Add head cement.

Rear Body: Slide one of the cones over the “head” that you just tied off. Tie back on in front of the cone and wind another purple cock feather, then SD Blue Arctic Fox, topped off finally with a small bunch of Shrimp Pink Arctic Fox. Create a “head” and tie off and head cement it.

Mid Body:  Slide the next cone over the “head” that you just tied off. Tie back on in front of the cone and wind another purple cock feather, then SD Blue Arctic Fox, topped off finally with a few more strands of pearlescent Crystal Flash. Create a “head” and tie off and head cement it.

Hackle / Front:  Slide the last cone over the “head” that you just tied off. Tie in a hot pink cock feather then one last purple cock feather. Add a final wing of SD Blue Arctic Fox. Top off with a few strands of Pearl Flashabou and 3 or 4 long barbs of SD Blue Ostrich.

Cheeks: long jungle cock
