Hi! My name is Ethan and I really like guitar. One thing I have always wanted was some sort of musical reference guide without a consumeristic bent to it, so I have decided to start this website. I started this website in May 2003, and hopefully, after a few years of working on it, it can serve as a nice place to start for people that want to learn about guitars and guitarists. The guitar above is a 1958 Gibson Les Paul Standard Gold-Top and its one of my personal faves. I almost bought a reissue of this guitar, but when I first started playing I developed the bad habit of wrapping my thumb around the neck, and the neck on this baby is just so fat (the tone, baby, the tone!), I ended up with a 1999 Les Paul Custom Class 5 which is just as beautiful, but has a much skinnier neck.
