  • Attack on America
Separating fact from fiction from the greatest act of terror on American soil.

Almost immediately after the terrorist attacks struck New York and Washington, a literal flood of hoax e-mail messages began to circulate. Some messages told of great heroism. Some warned of new attacks on the way. Some simply told stories. Most of these messages had one thing in common...over 95% of them were phony!

It is bad enough that we have to put up with computer virus hoaxes on a daily basis, but to strike true terror into someone with a hoax warning of another attack for which there is absolutely not truth is simply beyond the simple prank. I rank such messages almost as high as the phony anthrax letters being sent as pranks and I hold such people who send such messages in such low regard that I personally rank them with the criminals and terrorists who make such threats.

The information on this page is far from complete, but it will endeavor to list the most common stories related to the attack on America. In some cases, some stories stated that another attack would occur on a specific date, however, in all cases, those dates have passed without incident. Such stories are not listed here as they are outdated. However, it has been known that occasionally, someone will get a copy of the original story and simply change the date and send it out again. Should that occur, those stories will be relisted here.

I have found in my research that sometimes it is difficult to convince some people with a single report, therefore, in some cases, I have listed two or more reliable sources of information for those who require "a second opinion."
