Early in the beginning of 2008 we were contacted about the possibile availability of a dog that could become the next mascot for the US Army, 1st Battalion, 27th Inantry, based in Hawaii and known as "The Wolfounds!" After discussing the honor of being asked to donate a dog we decided that Raven would be a wonderful candidate and made the offer to donate him to the Wolfhounds. In order to allow him to go directly from Billies house to his handlers home in Hawaii all the paperwork and care for his 120 day quarentine were done with Billies vet in Elgin, TX. His quarentine was up on June 28, 2008 and on July 10th at about 6:30 AM he left Austin, TX enroute to Hawaii with his Army handler and arrived there at about 1:00 AM (TX time) on Friday July 11th. "Raven" is now at home in Hawaii with the Wolfhounds, and will be known by them from now on as Kolchak XIV, his rank upon entering the Army is that of Corporal. He was previously shown at AKC shows and in ASFA and AKC Lure coursing, currently he has his ASFA Field Champion title, AKC JC title and was pointed towards his SC title and AKC conformation title.
