SYNOPSIS
Gary is answering the police's questions about Brok's
supposed drug dealing, although he has no evidence (it was destroyed
by Holly in the previous episode).
Mark, however, refuses to talk. The boys then ride with the police
to go make a sworn statement at the district attorney's office.
With the situation apparently in hand, Billy and Mentor decide
to continue their vacation.
Along the way, the Elders call to tell Billy that
the only thing more precious than a friend you can trust is a
friend who trusts you. They also warn Billy of one who
poses as a friend, but in truth is an enemy.
Meanwhile, the police officer transporting Gary
and Mark stops to help a disabled vehicle. Suddenly, Brok appears
out of the bushes on the roadside, sneaks into the vacated police
car, and drives away. He takes Gary and Mark a few miles down
the road and orders them out of the car. He then chastises Gary
for "finking on him" and gives Mark some money as a
reward for keeping quiet. Gary and Mark are left to walk back
home.
Once back home, Gary calls Billy with a plan to
nail Brok, but it involves sneaking into his office and only
Mark has a key. Mark agrees to go along with the plan, but later
calls Brok and informs him.
Unaware of Mark's betrayal, Gary goes to the office
and finds more drugs in Brok's desk. He comes out and tells Billy
that now they just have to wait for Mark. Remembering the warning
the Elders gave him, Billy concludes that Mark has just set them
up. Shortly, Brok arrives with Mark and demands Billy hand over
the drugs. Instead, Billy throws the package to Gary, who takes
off in his car. After a struggle with Billy, Brok and Mark get
in their car and begin to pursue Gary.
Mentor arrives to see if everything is okay and
Billy decides to become Captain Marvel and give chase.
Marvel takes flight and lands at a curve several
miles ahead of the cars. After allowing Gary's vehicle to pass,
Marvel moves two boulders into the road to block Brok's car.
Brok spins out and Marvel lodges the car between two trees and
puts a boulder behind it to keep Brok or Mark from escaping.
Marvel then goes after Gary, runs him down from behind, and tells
him everything is okay.
Gary goes back to the police, who have just arrived
to apprehend Brok and Mark, and turns over the drugs. Gary swears
to never mess with drugs again. Although he feels bad for telling
on his friend, Mark, Mentor reminds him that he just may be the
best friend Mark will ever have.
