Luis Alcazar, Lorenzo Alcazar #1, Lorenzo Alcazar #2, and Interviews

Luis Alcazar  July 22, 2002 – February 10, 2003 - 6 hrs 4 mins
Lainey (TinyDancer) recently turned over several of her edits to me as she is no longer able to offer them. She had a Luis edit that included all of his scenes but was very strictly edited to just him. I went back and re-edited many sections of the edit to add some additional scenes to flesh out his storyline a bit. I also added several post death flashbacks that Luis was featured in.
     This edit begins with his first scene on July 22nd and goes through the aftermath of his death on November 23. This edit includes all of the shots of the mystery woman (Brenda) from behind, the explosion at the warehouse and the aftermath and Kristina's death (which gives several people motive for his murder), I included Brenda firing the flare gun and blowing up the yacht, her escape and contacting Sonny as well as the Amazing Grace scenes at the church. I also included Brenda sneaking into Jax's wedding to Skye and Luis going as well in an attempt to assassinate Jax, which Brenda prevents. Roy shoots Luis, who then has Monica kidnapped to treat his gunshot wound. Luis figures out that Brenda is hiding out at her cottage, he goes there, finds her with Jax and shoots him, Sonny comes in and shoots Luis. Half the town come to Luis' hospital bed to threaten him (again setting up multiple motives for his murder). When he recovers, he talks Skye into setting Brenda up to meet her, but instead it is Luis there to kidnap her and take her aboard her plane. Skye in an attack of conscious goes to Sonny, he is able to steal aboard the plane before it takes off. Unfortunately, the plane crashes with all three on board. Meanwhile, Jason and Carly are off to rescue them. Not too long after they return to Port Charles, Luis sleeps with Skye and is later pushed off his balcony (after a confrontation with Brenda). I then included several scenes from Dec-Feb to wrap up this edit as Luis was featured in flashbacks such as when Sonny goes to South America to investigate Luis, and Brenda has flashbacks of her life there with Luis, and she then remembers seeing Ric there at Luis'. The edit concludes with Skye's flashbacks as she recalls that night in more detail and realizes who the killer was. I ended the edit Ted's appearence on Soaptalk in 2002 and he talks about playing Luis. 
     All of Luis' scenes are included, but Brenda's separate storyline with Sonny and Jax is not included other than some of the highlights I mentioned. I do have all of Brenda's return from 2002-2003 edited separately and the Brenda #5 and #6 contains all of her scenes from her first scene back through Luis' death. The Brenda #7 contains the aftermath of his death including her and Jason's trial. So there is much more of the storyline contained on the Brenda Return edits, the edit below is for the Luis Alcazar/Ted King fans who are interested in seeing his scenes and the storyline in a more condensed form from his characters viewpoint. Lorenzo Alcazar #1  June 6 - October 14, 2003 - 8 hr original edit
The Lorenzo #1  begins with his arrival in June and contains every Lorenzo scene into Oct 14. He meets Carly, figures out Ric is holding her in the panic room, rescues her only to hold her hostage himself, Carly goes into labor and Lorenzo fights with the doctor to save her baby, and Carly is rescued from the clinic by Jason and Sonny. Back in PC, Alcazar pursues Carly with flowers, backgammon game, and literally tries to drive Sonny crazy with the appearence of Marcella (who Alcazar has given plastic surgery to make her look exactly like Sonny's dead wife, Lily). It is established that Lorenzo loaned the Cassidines money and is now looking to collect, he has Nik beat up and continues to threathen him, until Jason repays the loan to protect Emily. Stefan tries to kill Alcazar and Carly saves his life. Sonny moves out of the penthouse in order to protect Carly, after "Lily" has warned Sonny that Carly and the baby are in danger. Alcazar sabotages Sonny's plane, and is horrified to learn Carly has gone aboard at the last moment. The edit ends as the plane safely makes an emergency landing, Sonny leaves Carly again for her safety, and she sees Lorenzo appear out of the fog. This is an 8 hour original edit from my original episodes. 
     I included additional scenes between Sonny & Carly as necessary to show the impact that Alcazar's schemes had upon their relationship but I did not include every S&C scene. I showed the confrontations between S&C after Alcazar sent her flowers, the game, after she goes to meet him, helps save his life, to show the effect Alcazar has, and when they are talking about him. This edit follows the story from Lorenzo's viewpoint and includes all of Lorenzo's scenes and includes all of his interaction with Ric, Jason, Sonny, Carly, Courtney, Faith, and Dillon is included. For anyone who wants all of the Sonny & Carly scenes, I recommend the S&C edits as those contain every Sonny & every Carly scene, and a LOT of Alcazar. Those edits are more of the whole S&C storyline (but they don't include every Alcazar scene with Dillon, Sage, ect if it doesn't pertain to the S&C storyline). Alcazar arrives towards the end of the S&C #21, so he would be on the S&C #22, 23, 24, and #25, ect. So this Alcazar edit condenses the storyline a bit to focus more just on his scenes, and the impact he has on those around him.  Click here to read the full edit description.

Lorenzo Alcazar #2  October 14, 2003 - January 16, 2004 - 8 hours
I continued to include all of Lorenzo's scenes on the Alcazar #2. Because I had already done all of the Sonny and all of the Carly storyline on the S&C edits, I did not include all of Carly's scenes with Sonny on this edit. I did include scenes between S&C on the island when she tells him about the dreams and her feelings for Alcazar, when Sonny takes off to shoot Alcazar, and takes Sam hostage, and I included scenes between S&C while they are holed up in the penthouse as the police try to arrest Sonny. Alcazar is waiting outside and I felt those scenes needed to be included to follow the storyline. While Sonny was off at the island, Carly's scenes were all about her growing feelings for Lorenzo, so from that point on I included all of Carly's scenes as she talked about Lorenzo with Courtney and Jason. This edit contains Carly falling down the stairs of the new house, going into labor during the storm, Lorenzo finding her, Sonny finding them together and shooting them both, Morgan's birth, Carly's coma dreams, Jason kidnaps Lorenzo and holds him in the panic room, Carly goes to Lorenzo in the panic room and they almost make love, up through Carly has herself committed to Shadybrook. • GH Luncheon Tape #12 - August, 2003 - 2 hrs 5 mins - As always I started off the tape with shots of the exterior of the hotel, and also added some street shots, and some of the nearby restaurants. I included the soap boutique so you guys could see the items available there. I was able to get a really nice interview with Natalia at Chad's event. Pat Griffin was very kind, I volunteered to tape the event as a benefit for Cystic Fibrosis and she arranged a little pre-event interivew with Natalia and Chad that I could add to the GH Luncheon tape...so these two are about 10 minutes.
       I was again asked to do some coverage in the press room (bless you Debbie Morris for giving me this opportunity). Again, I'm NOT a professional videographer just a goober fan with a video camera. In the press room I interview Scott (Dillon), this is a nice 5 minute interivew (most of the rest are shorter). Then Dylan (Michael), Lindsay (Georgie), Scott Egan (Johnny), Loreli (Penny, not sure if I'm spelling her name correctly - sorry!), Greg Vaughn, Robyn Richards, Stuart & leslie, Nancy Lee, Ted King. Several of the actors are signing autographs. Tamara is signing a bat (not sure if its her bats or Jason's!). There are also photo opportunities for the photographers with Tamara, Ted, Nancy Lee, Steve, Alicia,
       Then its on to the main event and the actors are introduced and enter the ballroom amid HUGE screams from the fans.   Then in a truly surprising, thrilling, shocking moment which Debbie Morris kept tightly under wraps...she goes up to the podium and says something about the PCPD needing some help catching criminals so they called in the WSB and in stroll in Tristan Rogers and John Reilly dressed in black (they joked its Men In Black 3). They received a standing ovation and thunderous applause and were obviously touched with the receptionand that fans remembered and still loved them all these years later. It was the HIT of the weekend! They spoke for a few minutes, I could have listened to them for hours! Wouldn't it be fun if they did an individual event!
       Everyone posed on stage for a cast photo, then I have shots of poses with Tristan & John Reily together, and with Maurice, and I think Steve was also in the group. I didn't take pictures, just video of them posing for pictures.
       I also have interviews during the luncheon with Wally, John J. York, Robin Chrisopher (with her award, both her and Nancy said this was better than the Emmy), Denise Alexander, Cynthia Preston and George (her web master) with their respective awards. I also interview Cari Shayne in the press  room of the PC dinner and will add that to this tape as well as it was nice to see her. I have shots of several of the actors with fans like Maurice, Nancy, Tamara, Scott Egan, Alicia, Chad, Greg, Steve, Rick, Ted, Natalia, Stuart & Leslie, Andrea, and others.
• GH Luncheon July, 2004  Tape #18 - 1 1/2 hours -  This event starts off with some Friday morning poolside shots with fans and their soap boutique purchases. Interview with Vicky of Journey Online. The edit continues with Saturday morning footage before the luncheon with shots of fans as they are lined up waiting to check in, I love all of the fans creative shirts and buttons. Then I showed all of the goodies on the various fan club tables, tons of pictures, and raffle items shown from the main GH fan club tables, Kurth & Taylor's new preview CD, Vanessa's table, Tyler's, interview with his fan club president Shari Evans, Lisa of JJY Online and his table, Sheri McCutheon who does Stephen Nichol's official site and his table, Leslie's Charleson's table and an interview about their online action (:24 mins to this time). TNext is the press room footage, the actors arrive in the press room, pose for pictures, interview with various magazines, web sites, before being brought out to the ballroom. I interviewed Tiffany an intern at GH, interview with the Eye On Soaps web site ladies (what a great group!), shots of various actors posing for pictures: Alicia & ron Hale, Ted King,  John York & Lindze & Robyn (cute moment when one of the twins who plays Kristina runs up to John and holds out her arms for him to pick her up, shots of all the teens together (Lindze, Adrieene, Ryan, Katie, Robyn), cute moment as Tamara arrives with Starbucks for Alicia who gives her a big thank you hug! (Note: I used a smaller second camera to get the arrivals so I could leave the main camera stationery, good thing as the tape jammed in the main camera so I had the second camera handy to get Leslie's tribute to Anna Lee so this first section is a bit jumpy as I was changing tapes in the main camera, you will notice when it switches back to the main camera amazing the difference a tripod makes!). This year's event was dedicated to Anna Lee's memory. Leslie read the plaque: "In Loving Memory of our dear Anna Lee

Back in the main ballroom the actors are introduced: John Ingle does the introductions, Adrian Alvarez, Denise Alexander, Julie Berman, Maurice, Steve, Dylan Cash, Dirk & Drew Cheetwood, Tyler Christopher, Scott, Stuart, Sonya, Rick Hearst, Kent Masters King, Becky, Ted, Lindze, Natalia, Kimberly, Ignacio, Jason, Connie, Greg Vaughn, Bergen, Laura, and John J.

  Fans give the actors a standing ovation, which is returned as the actors also give the fans a standing ovation in return. The autograph session begins, Finola Hughes arrives during this portion. She stands up on a table and waves to fans (not on the video). I have several minutes of the actors meeting with fans, autographing items and taking pictures with fans. During the autograph session I have shots of Tristan, Jason, Ted, Jason, Greg, Adrian, Kim, Maurice, Steve, Natalia, John Ingle, John J., Bergen, Tyler, Jackie, Connie, Kent, Laura (very classy lady she brought a huge stack of 8x10 pictures that she gave away to fans!), Dirk & Drew, Becky, Sonya, Finola, Scott, and Julie. Short clip of Rick with his fan club award and he acknowledges his fan club president, Debby O'Connor. Short interview welcoming Sonya and asking her how the role of epiphany took off. Cute shot of Tristan and Finola together (no interviews as they arrived after the press room and their lines were HUGE!).
