Bo Hope #3 February 3 - April 2, 1984: 10 hrs 15 mins

Dvd #3A Bo runs into Hope again, and almost kisses her until Melissa interrupts. She has a secret with Melissa; she teases Bo that he isn't the only one who can keep a secret. Hope shows Melissa her new apartment and they talk decorating. She is determined to have a whole new future in her new life in her apartment, with Bo! After Melissa leaves, Hope has a fantasy sequence of her being alone with Bo, dancing, and then making love. She swears that it will happen someday.

At Shenanigan's, Chris tells Bo that Hope will be arriving any minute for her shift. He says he should get out of there then as Hope drives him crazy, every time he is in a room with her, he wants to drag her off with him. He says Hope doesn't understand and she is messing with his head. He is afraid that she will get hurt, or someone else will get hurt. A package arrives for Hope addressed to Bo's old apartment number. Bo questions Melissa about what Hope is up to. She tells him about her decorating plans and doesn’t want anything feminine in her new place.

Hope comes across a pretty blonde, Janet, kissing Bo. She drops a tray and runs upstairs. He follows her upstairs and demands to know what just happened? She can’t help getting upset watching him kiss another girl! He tells her that he didn’t kiss Janet, that she kissed him! He is hostile about her pressuring him and wants an explanation. Hope is upset, she says she knows this isn't any of her business but anytime she sees Bo with another woman she gets a knot in her stomach. She says she came upstairs, as she didn't want to pressure him. He starts to lose his temper, asking, "What the hell do you think your doing right now?"

She starts to yell back at him and then stops, suddenly sad, and just says, "I'm sorry". She walks across the room to sit sadly on her bed. His anger immediately fades when he senses her sadness and assures her that what she saw downstairs didn't mean anything. She says that she didn't want him to see her room yet. He reminds her that she was going to put space between them and she winds up getting an apartment above him.

He asks, "What am I going to do with you?" He takes her in his arms and kisses her, as they are making out, he stops and tells her that it is wrong. She says she loves him, and he tells her he loves her too but reminds her they made promises. She says that when she is with him all of those promises melt away. He tells her he will have to be strong enough for both of them. She knows he wants her as much as she wants him and begs him to stop fighting it. He says he can't but she isn't making it easy, that with her there is no middle ground, that when he is with her that he can't think of anything else.

He warns her again that he is involved in something dangerous and he won't have her hurt. She asks him to run away with her, away from the danger. He looks very tempted at the thought but tells her he can't, the timing is wrong. He wants her to look at him as he really is, not as some white knight. He tells her they have many many years ahead of them to figure things out, if its right between them. She tells him that he is welcome back at her apartment anytime, no obligations.

Bo overhears Larry telling Melissa that he will bring in Roman, dead or alive. Bo grabs him and tells him if he is responsible for hurting Roman that Bo will kill him. Bo pushes him into the bar. Melissa’s arm is cut by the broken glass and later Larry is happy to throw that in Bo’s face.

Bo phones in a phony tip about Roman Brady being seen two hours away. Janet hits on Bo. When Hope shows up, Jae links her arm in his, and tells Hope they are talking about going to California. Bo says they were not talking about any such thing. Hope's eyes have fired up but she tamps down her temper and saunters over to Larry. Bo tries to stop her to explain, but stops frustrated. He hates seeing her laughing with Larry.

Bo stops by to see Roman and when he mentions another visitor, Bo demands to know who it is? Roman refuses to tell him, neither of them know the other person knows about Roman.

Next, Bo stops by Marlena who gives him attitude. Mrs. H is there and she reassures Bo after Marlena leaves the room. He is worried that Marlena is going to lose it when Roman fakes his death. Alice has confidence in him and knows he has done everything he can to help Roman and she knows their relationship will get better after this is all over. She knows how much they love each other. Bo admits it but says he won’t say that to anyone else. He doesn’t have much hope for his future relationship with his brother, he may love him but he doesn’t always like him.

Bo gets Eugene to go upstairs to check out a mysterious noise just to get him out of the room, and Alice goes off to make sandwiches just in time for Roman to call. They had set up for the cops to listen in on his call and they set up for them to find the empty house he is hiding out in. When Roman’s call comes through, Bo wants to know where Roman has been. Roman tells him that he needs Bo’s help now, he needs food, clothes and needs Bo’s help now. Cops are trying to trace his call as Bo and Roman carefully watch the time on the trace. Before Bo agrees, Roman hangs up in pretend frustration. This sets up for the cops to be at the house as it explodes, part of their plan to fake Roman’s death.

Abe shows up at Bo's and tells him that he found Roman last night and was with him when the murder took place, so Abe knows that Roman isn't the killer. He tells Bo that he is in on the plan with him and Roman. Abe tells Bo that he needs his help in order to convince everyone that Roman dies in the fire. Bo and Abe debate who is the better witness of the explosion. Abe argues that he is more credible and he is going to have another cop along with him as a neutral observer.

Julie confronts Hope over her new place, she reminds her that she promised Doug that she would stay at home where they could protect her. Hope argues that it is the right place for her and if she hadn’t taken in, she might have lost it. Julie snarks she is very familiar with the amenities there, mentioning that Bo lives downstairs. Doug comes in and reports that he knows all about Hope’s new place. She says she is sorry for breaking her promise, but she wasn’t planning on moving out till Doug is better. Doug wants her to stay there with him and Julie while the murdering Roman is still on the loose. They complain about her interest in Bo and she raves about how wonderful he is and she wants them to get to know him as she does. Julie snarks that is unlikely to happen. Doug promises that he will give it a try.

Janet shows up at Bo's and as she is leaving, Hope arrives. Janet smugly tries to make it sound like she is spending a lot of time with Bo. As Janet leaves, Hope turns to walk away. Bo grabs her and pulls her into his place. He tells her things are going to heat up and to just trust him. She says that her folks found out about her place and her dad wants to talk to him. Hope wants Doug to get to know Bo like she does. Bo tells her that he might have some more time to be with her soon, and sure he will talk to her dad.

Bo meets up with Alice and fills her in on the plan. Her job is to protect Marlena from not hearing about Roman’s death. He asks her to use whatever excuse she has to, Marlena is sick ect but not to let anyone in to see her after the time of the explosion. He runs into Hope and when he takes a phone call, he tells her “Later Babe!”. She listens in as he gets the info and says “Sweetie” to the caller and makes it sound like a date as Hope listens in. She learns the location of where Bo is headed.

Abe sets it up for another cop to be with him (as an independent witness). Abe asks the bartender if the call was from a woman and he says no it was from a man. Abe tells his partner that could be Roman and to follow Bo as he could lead him straight to Roman. Hope has also made it to the hideout before Bo. Roman grabs her as she enters. Bo is shocked when he arrives to see her car there. Bo grabs her and takes her out. Abe gets the bullhorn and demands that Roman come out.

Roman sets the explosion and the building goes up. Bo and Hope are knocked to the ground and hit by flying debris. Hope becomes hysterical over Roman as the house burns. He tells her she shouldn't be here as it is too dangerous and she could have been hurt. He wants her to just go to her car and stay out of danger. Bo runs up to Abe and tells him that Roman's car is still there; Roman was supposed to have made his getaway. Bo is obviously worried about whether Roman made it out okay. Bo sits in Hope's car with her. She apologizes again for coming up here and snooping, she says she is too impulsive and she can't seem to help herself. He tries to assured her that everything is going to be okay. The cops find a body, Abe and Bo are scared that the body is Roman's. Hope tries to comfort Bo. Abe goes to Marlena's and tells her that there was an explosion and Roman was killed.

Down at the PD, Abe believes that Roman is dead but Bo is not convinced. The news is full of the report of Roman's death, Mrs. Horton, Anna Dimera all reel with the news. Abe convinces Bo the science that goes into body identification. Bo determines that he wants Marlena to know that Roman was innocent. Bo blames himself that Roman is dead because of Hope chasing him around. Abe points out that guilt is going to help him. He points out that the guilt must be eating Hope alive and asks Bo to go over to see her and make sure she knows it isn’t her fault. Eugene and Bo argue over Roman’s fate. Bo refuses to talk to Marlena just yet. Eugene isn’t giving up, he is trying to help Marlena. Abe defends Bo’s actions, and tells Eugene that there are things he doesn’t know. Bo refuses to talk to Marlena until he has absolute proof that Roman was in that house.

Bo stops by Marlena’s and Tom tells her that she is sleeping. He sees Shawn there and he gives his son a big hug. Bo asks Doug if Hope is okay and he says she is. Bo is sorry she got involved in this. Tom and Shawn head out and leaves Bo alone with Doug. He asks Bo what happened last night? Bo fills him in as much as he can. Doug wants to know if Bo has been helping Roman this whole time. Bo tells him that he can’t talk about it yet. They talk about how much hope, that she has for Bo, that is just the way she is, having hope when no one else does. Bo completely understands how Doug feels about him and he knows he would feel the same if he was in Doug’s place. Doug is worried about Hope’s safety. Bo admits that he hasn’t kept her safe lately and has done nothing but screw up lately.

Hope is waiting for Bo to arrive at Shenanigan’s. Hope and Janet talk as she knows Hope is waiting for Bo. Janet asks if Hope was involved in Roman’s death, was she there? Hope admits that she was, but doesn’t want to talk about it. Hope blames Janet as she thought Bo was with her and that is why she went to that house. Hope tells her to keep away from Bo Brady! She warns Janet that she is going after the man that Hope loves. Bo has assured her that they will work things out and he will be with her! Janet says she will believe that when she hears it from Bo! Larry arrives in time to see the end of the cat fight and Hope demands that he gets her out of there. She shares her grief over being there and feeling responsible for Roman’s death. She doesn’t want to talk about Bo.

When she arrives home, Doug tells her that he had a talk with Bo like she asked. Julie is shocked when Doug tells Hope that he has been over protective and he wants her to be happy. He is willing to let her go and she can start living her life and moving into her apartment. She immediately agrees and heads upstairs to pack.

Hope arrives to move into her apartment and runs into Bo. She tells him she is moving in. She tells him that she knows about Roman and he draws her into his arms and hugs her tenderly. She knows he is blaming himself and she knows he was just trying to help Roman and she got in the way. Bo tells her he won’t give up until everyone knows that Roman is innocent. Hope disagrees as he attacked her. He offers her a ride home and she would like him to tell her why she thinks he is innocent.

In the car, Hope asks him to explain about Roman. He tells her that he hasn’t been exactly helpful about Roman and has been helping him all along. He tells her that he can’t tell her the whole story but there was a plot by a maniac to make it look like Roman was guilty. Bo still doesn’t know the why of it. He tells her he doesn’t want Hope to feel responsible, the house was supposed to blow up. He was trying to fake his death so he could catch the real killer.

Bo tells her Roman wasn’t supposed to die. She realizes that this whole time, Bo has been trying to protect her. He tells her that he always causes trouble for her. She tells him that she loves him. He says but yeah that love almost got you killed. He grabs her and holds her tight. He asks what is he going to do with her? She reminds him she will be living just upstairs and will be there for him whenever he needs her, she will be waiting. He tells her that he has to go see Marlena, he has been putting it off.

Hope arrives home and Doug wants to talk to her. He doesn’t want anymore stained relationship with her. She has tried to get him to understand, he asks her to try him. She shares that she feels responsible for Roman’s death and if she had stayed home that maybe Roman would still be alive and she will have to live with this the rest of her life! She says one reason for her to move out is to give the two of them privacy together, as she knows Julie needs it (snark). She begins to get upset and then apologizes and tells her dad that she just needs her freedom. He is being so sweet and understanding, he gives her complete freedom to leave with no guilt.

Larry arrives to pick her up for their date for the party, he is dressed in a tux. Hope makes her apologies and tells him she completely forgot and can’t make it. Doug & Julie are leaving and Larry asks them to give his apologies to the congressman. Hope is now feeling guilty over her broken promises to Larry. She changes her mind and says that if he doesn’t mind waiting, she still has some clothes there and can get ready if he still wants to take her. He admits that he has been bragging about her being his date. So she rushes upstairs to get ready.

Bo arrives to visit with a devastated Marlena. Bo tells her that he is ready to tell her everything. He admits that he has been helping Roman all along. She accuses of lying to her the whole time! Bo tells her that Roman made him promise. He didn’t want to lie to her in the beginning but Bo came to see Roman was right about keeping her in the dark. Marlena blames Bo for not getting Roman help that he is sick. Bo tells her that no Roman was innocent. Bo was with Roman the night that Hope was attacked. He tells her that the imposter was wearing a latext mask. She wants to know why Roman wouldn’t tell her?

Bo shares that they were out to kill him and he had to be free to try to find out the truth. He knew that Marlena would never stop searching for him. She cries why did he have to kill himself. Bo assures her that he didn’t that it was an accident. He explains that he was trying to fake his death. The house was supposed to explode but he wasn’t supposed to be in it. She realizes that he did it so the killing would stop. She tells him to get out, that Roman is dead and he shouldn’t be and Bo shouldn’t have lied to her. She screams at him to get out!

Hope comes down dressed in a gorgeous evening gown. He flirts with her and promises a wonderful evening. She thanks him for taking her mind off a lot of things. He tells her she is doing him the favor as she is a very stunning woman and he will make sure that tonight she will forget all of her problems! Larry dubs Hope the belle of the ball. Alex sees Larry with Hope and makes snide comments about how rich she is. Bo arrives and sees Hope enjoying her evening with Larry. Julie pulls him away as the governor would like to speak to him. Anna notices Bo watching the beautiful Hope.

A reporter questions Hope about her appearance the night of Roman’s death. Larry acts as her defender. Then he asks her about the undercover caper at the prison, then her being held hostage by the Vipers. She shuts down the reporter and ejects him from the event. Anna comments to Bo how well she handled that. He once again says he isn’t good for her. Later, Alex comments on what an asset a young, rich, beautiful wife would be on the arm of a young politician.

2/17-2/21 Bo has slept on Marlena’s couch. She has a nightmare and wakes up screaming and crying Roman’s name. Bo rushes in and comforts her. she wants to know what he is doing there. He shares that he didn't want her to be alone even though he knows how upset she is with him. She argues again about the decisions that Roman made and why he should have told her. The doorbell rings and Abe has arrived to see her. Abe defends Bo’s actions to Marlena as she continues to blame him for keeping her away from her husband.

Hope jumps out of bed to answer her door hoping it is Bo. Larry is standing there with a large gift wrapped box. He offers her a capachino as he surprises her with a new machine, her very first house warming gift. He thanks her making him look very good last night. He says Doug & Julie & the governor were all very impressed. She is glad that her dad was happy as she has disappointed him so much. He knows it was hard for her after Roman’s death and appreciates the effort she made. She discusses the reporter’s questions with him and asks if she could be in trouble for being in the house with Roman that night. He assures her that he knows she didn’t have any criminal intent.

Hope leaves the room to get dressed and Larry answers the phone when Bo calls. He is NOT happy to hear Larry’s voice and demands to talk to Hope. Larry says she can’t come to the phone and Bo insists on speaking with her. Larry smugly reports that Hope is in the shower. When she comes out, she asks if that was the phone. He tells her about Bo’s call. They are soon enjoying her new toy. He continues to stroke her ego and compliment her skills on handling the press last night. He can see her as a powerful wife fielding questions on a daily basis. She doesn’t like that vision of her future and would rather be free. He asks with Bo?

Hope runs into Bo downstairs and asks why he left last night? The Bo Brady she knows wouldn’t have been intimidated by tuxedos and ball gowns. She asks if it was something she said to the reporter? He says no that she handled it perfectly. He was there to drag her out of there but he left because the reporters kept bringing up the things he has done to her. She already has one strike against her because of him. Her life has been threatened, in danger, and after what happened to Roman he can’t take any chances with her life. He saw her with the rich and famous and they can offer her a life a lot safer than what he can. He reminds her that there is a maniac out there somewhere. He is leaving and she promises him that she will have a future with him because she will NOT give up on him.

Melissa talks to Bo and tries to express her sympathy to him but he takes off. When she sees Hope, Melissa tells her how upset Bo is and that she doubts he will show to Roman’s memorial that night. Hope fills her in on the night Roman died.

Don shows up to see Marlena and begins peeling off his mask, revealing that he is Roman! He tells her he is alive and innocent! Downstairs, Bo arrives and admits to Mrs. H that he isn’t going to Roman’s funeral as he feels responsible. She shares that she is equally responsible as she is the one who got him out of jail with the drugged donut. Bo tells her that it wasn’t her fault, that she was only involved because of him and he never should have involved her. She asks him to come to the service, to honor him and pray for him. They owe Roman that much and he finally agrees to attend.

Later, Bo returns dressed up for the service. Upstairs, a glowing Marlena asks Roman if she looks like a grieving widow? She doesn’t! Bo comes to the door to see if Marlena is ready. Marlena takes time to open the door as Roman hides in the closet. Alice helps her with her hair and goes to the closet to get her coat and Marlena yells at her to stop. Marlena gets her own coat. She asks them both to go down and get Roman’s police badge to get rid of them. A relieved Roman comes out of the closet, and confides it is odd to hear them talk about his funeral. He tells her this is the only way to smoke out the real killer. He needs to talk to Abe. She shares that he is going to give Roman’s eulogy and tell everyone that he is innocent. He tells her she has to stop Abe from doing that and can’t tell anyone that he is alive not even Bo. Hope arrives downstairs, Don opens the door. She asks him if it is okay that she is there? Shawn comes out and shows her the door and tells her that is the way out. Bo comes downstairs and tells Shawn that Roman’s death was not Hope’s fault. Shawn demands to know what Hope was doing there that night. Don tries to get Shawn to stop shouting.

Shawn demands to know what Hope was doing there. She admits to being wrong and she will have to carry that around the rest of her life. Bo interrupts and says that if he needs to blame someone that he should blame Bo, not Hope. Shawn says if it is Bo’s fault, that he doesn’t think he could forgive him. Hope asks to be able to attend tonight. Shawn doesn’t want her there and says she has no right to be there. Bo says she can go if she wants to, that it is her decision.

Upstairs, Roman and Marlena can hear Shawn & Bo arguing. Bo stops Shawn and tells him that it took a lot of courage for Hope to show up there tonight. Shawn mellows and says he doesn’t want to hurt her or make things worse. When Marlena appears, everyone apologizes for the yelling. Hope says she doesn’t know if coming was the right thing? Marlena assures her it is fine. She asks Hope if she is attending the memorial? Hope glances at Shawn and says that no she isn’t. Marlena guesses she knows what all of the shouting was about. Marlena talks about forgiveness and admits she has made mistakes too.

Everyone leaves Bo & Hope alone together. She hugs him and tells him how much she loves him. She wishes she could take some of the pain away. He wants to see her later. Bo is worried that Roman was the glue that held the Bradys together and without him they may just all fall apart.

Marlena pulls Abe aside and tells him that Roman is alive and she has seen him. He gets excited and she has to stop him. She tells him that Roman is perfectly safe and he wants to keep with the original plan, everyone must believe that not only is Roman dead but he is the real killer. She says that Abe can’t exonerate him in order to try to catch the real killer. She tells him that only her and Abe know, not even Bo knows he is alive. Abe has to give a very difficult eulogy as Bo sits and listens growing more and more furious by the moment. Shawn yells at Abe afterwards that he is a traitor, and Roman was his best friend! Bo joins Shawn and yells at Abe that he was going to swear on Roman’s badge that he was innocent. He can’t understand why Abe would do it.

Abe assures them that Roman was innocent but he can’t prove it to anyone. Bo can’t believe it. Bo knows Abe wouldn’t do this to Roman and says he knows there is another reason. Abe makes it sound like he had turned in his badge and the only way to get it back is to publicly follow the party line about Roman being a killer. They are so hurt and betrayed by Abe.

Bo finds Hope and hugs her tightly. He is so upset, that she has never seen him like this. She says she should have been at the service. He says no, he is glad she didn’t see it. He tells her about Abe supposed to telling everyone that Roman was innocent but instead he said how it was too bad that Roman was sick and died on the wrong side of the law. Bo is so sad, and feels so empty, everything is lost. He tells her that he doesn’t want to feel anymore, he doesn’t want to love and lose anyone, he only feels numb inside. She cries with him, that she loves him and begs him to make room in his heart for her. She thinks he wants her to keep on loving him, because if he didn’t then he wouldn’t have come looking for her tonight. He grabs her and kisses her.

2/22-2/23 Bo runs into Abe the next day and asks if he is regretting what he did at the memorial. He wants to know why Abe is hanging around outside his dead brother’s home. Abe says that he is on guard to keep intruders and reporters away from Marlena’s home. Bo is intent on going inside to see Marlena. Abe stops him and says there is news on Roman’s case and asks him to get in the car so the whole neighborhood doesn’t hear him. When Bo gets in the car, Abe starts the car and says he will tell him over breakfast as Bo complains that he doesn’t want any breakfast.

They arrive at the cafe and Bo continues to object and demands to know what Abe knows. Abe leaves him for a moment and calls Roman. He tells him he has a plan, to get rid of Bo and come back to Marlena. Abe tells Bo that something has come up and he will have to talk to him later. Bo gets up to leave with him, expecting a ride back and Abe tells him not after the way Bo has talked to him that morning, that Bo can walk!

Abe meets with Roman and Marlena and are talking about their plan. Bo starts pounding on the door and its obvious that he isn’t leaving. Roman tells them they have to let Bo in on it and asks them to go down and lead him into it so he doesn’t faint when he sees Roman. Marlena comes downstairs and is beaming, Bo looks at her puzzled. She tells him that it turns out the other night wasn’t the tragedy that they originally thought. Bo gets a big grin on his face as hope fills his eyes and he races upstairs. Bo runs into the room and grabs his brother into a big bear hug. Bo wants to know what the next step is. Roman tells him nothing that Bo is out of it, he is fired. Bo doesn’t understand. Roman says he is just a kid but Hope is just a kid. He points out that Abe is working with him now. Roman tells Bo that he almost died because of Hope’s untimely arrival. Roman doesn’t blame him or Hope, but he can’t take the chance as long as Bo is with Hope.

Roman knows that Hope will stick with him as she is a teenager. Bo is disappointed to even let him know that he is alive. Roman wants Bo to act as a buffer with the family, to keep their parents from falling apart and to keep Carrie in Arizona. Bo unhappily agrees. Bo slams the door and tells him no way is he leaving, but he is in this and he isn’t being kept out of it. Bo tells him that Hope’s impulsive qualities have actually saved Bo a couple of times. He can handle Hope.

Abe comes in and tells them to keep it down that Dr. Horton is downstairs. Roman knows that Bo is crazy about Hope. He suggests that Bo go to Hope and make a life with her. Bo accuses him of thinking that he is a better man than him. Roman insists that this thing is bigger than either of them. Bo knows as much about this thing as anyone. Bo knows there is some big master plan by whoever is behind this and insists that Roman needs Bo’s help. He finally gives in but says that no Alice, no Howie, and NO HOPE!

Bo agrees and says that he can handle it. Roman says that as long as Bo continues to see Hope, it puts her in danger as he knows she won’t stay out of it. Roman urges Bo to really think about this as Roman doesn’t think he could forgive himself if Bo loses Hope because of him. He also insists that Marlena would stay out of this and Roman will handle her. Bo makes plans to meet with Hope and will tell her what he wants when they see each other. Bo talks to Roman who needs him to cover over right now. He tries to catch Hope but she has already left. Bo asks Diane to give Hope a message and tell her that he couldn’t meet her. Hope then goes looking for Bo and questions Eugene at Shenanigan’s. He denies knowing anything and says his vibes have a limited frequency.

Dvd #3B Bo & Julie arrive with a house warming present for Hope, its a lamp. They ask to see her new place. They come down and Julie says the lamp doesn’t go with anything in her apartment. Roman is hiding in the basement at Eugene’s and as Marlena is closing the trap door, she drops his badge. Eugene comes in and says he just saw Bo at Shenanigan’s. Hope sees Diane at the bar and she tells her that she just saw Bo downstairs. Eugene opens the trap door and sees Roman’s face. He quickly closes it and tells Marlena that he keeps seeing dead people and he just saw Roman!

2/24-2/27 Bo sends Hope a note breaking up with her. Larry comes in and asks Hope why she is upset? She shows him the note from Bo. He asks if she has talked to Bo. She says no, she hasn’t been able to find him. She doesn’t understand as she knows Bo loves her. She tells him that Bo wanted to see her that morning and now Bo is nowhere to be found. Larry insists on driving her, she is too upset to be driving on her own. He takes her to her dad’s club to give her time to get her head together. He suggest they have a glass of wine and she can think about what she wants to say to Bo.

Hope has flashbacks to key moments with Bo. She is upset and tells Melissa that she thinks she has lost Bo. She doesn't understand how he could do this to her when he knows how much she loves him. Hope goes down to Bo's place looking for him. She finds Diane wrapped in a towel, moving her stuff into Bo's. Diane is all too happy to tell Hope that Bo is with her and he has slept with her and is no longer Hope's that he is Diane's now.

Meanwhile, Roman asks Bo if he has done something about Hope? He tells Bo that as long as Hope is in love with Bo and he is involved with her that she is in danger. Bo assures him that he has taken care of things and it is different now, that Hope won't be following him around anymore. Roman hopes he is right for everyone's sake and then tells him he is sorry but maybe when this mess is over he will have a chance with Hope. Bo hopes so. Roman tells him that he didn't want Bo to have to make that choice which is why he gave him his walking papers. Bo wouldn't accept not helping Roman so that is why he arranged Diane to distance himself from Hope.

Bo returns home to find Hope there with Diane. Hope looks at him, her eyes filled with hurt. Bo looks at her with dread; he hates hurting her like this but has no other choice. Hope asks him about the note, and asks him if Diane is living there? He takes the note, says he sees they have met and says yes that she is living there. He is abrupt, obviously not wanting to drag this out and can hardly stand to do it.

Hope’s heart is breaking as she begs him for another chance, her eyes filled with tears. He tells her that it is over, and that he used to love her but not anymore. Hope reminds him that he said he would love her forever and she can't throw everything away that they had. He denies what they had, saying it was just a few kisses, a lot of yelling from her father, and his brother going up in flames. Her eyes glistening and lips quivering, she pleads that she wanted to make love with him but he wouldn't let her. She is so devastated, and it's all he can do to keep his icy demeanor. She leaves sobbing.

Diane tells Bo that she is sorry. He tells her he feels terrible seeing the hurt in her eyes. Diane tells him he had to know how hard this was going to be, that he wanted Hope to believe he was having an affair with Diane. Diane doesn't understand why he would do this if he loves Hope so much. He warns Diane that if she is going to stay there that she has to learn not to ask so many questions. She thanks him for letting her stay there, that she wouldn't know what she would have done. Eugene calls and they want to see Bo back at the house. Roman & Eugene tell Bo that the baka has been stolen. Roman guesses that maybe Tony Dimera has it and wants Bo to try to find it.

Hope has a fantasy of dancing in the barn with Bo, him dressed in a tux and her in an evening gown. He twirls her around, they dance, and he kisses her. She cries as she looks at a picture of them together. Larry comes upon her and tells her that it will be okay and takes her away. Hope tosses the picture on the dock and Bo finds it. He picks it up and sadly looks at the picture of Hope.

Hope has a nightmare of Julie and Doug saying negative things about Bo and how he is wrong for her. She wakes up, sees a picture of Bo on his motorcycle and throws his picture across the room. The sound of shattering glass brings Melissa running. Hope is devastated, broken hearted. Larry shows up and wants to invite Hope to lunch. After Larry leaves, Melissa asks if she has ever noticed how Larry looks at her, that he looks at her as more than a friend.

At lunch, he tells her how beautiful she looks. She asks him if they are more than friends? He avoids the topic and tells her that she is on the rebound and wants to warn her to be careful with her heart. He tells her she is a bright, beautiful woman, but he doesn't want a woman whose head is full of Bo Brady. Later at Eugene's, Hope listens in when Bo calls Eugene and they plan to meet at Shenanigan's. Hope waits at Shenanigan's as she wants to have it out with Bo. He avoids looking at her, she asks him if he is afraid to face her. He tells her that he didn't think they had anything to talk about. She tells him that she no longer needs to tell him off, that she doesn't need him.

As Hope leaves, Diane comes up and puts her arms around Bo and playing the act of the loving girlfriend. He tries to tell her to cool it, but too late, Hope has turned at the door and leaves even more hurt. Diane says she is sorry she didn't see Hope and didn't want to rub her nose in it, the act is for everyone else. Danny is not happy with Bo, he knows he is still in love with her. Eugene meets with Hope later, and tries to give her some typically vague Eugene clues that she shouldn't give up just yet. Eugene calls Bo and tells him what Hope is up to (hanging out in a dive bar). Bo tells her she is leaving with him, he doesn't want her hanging out there. She is furious and tells him how dare he tell her what to do, how dare he even speak to her!

Larry comes in and grabs Bo and tells him that if he touches Hope again that Larry will take him down. They argue and Larry makes disparaging remarks about Diane, Bo of course defends her. Bo tells Larry he knows what he is up to, that he moved in on Hope when he saw her vulnerable. Bo asks Hope if she is Larry's girl now. She tells him he is too late, that he has no claims on her that he has no right to ask her.

She goes on to tell him that he threw her out of his life and now she is throwing him out of hers, that she didn't know what hating someone meant until she met him. (This is seriously getting to him, he is scared now and very much wants to call a halt to this particular plan). Hope goes on to tell him to stay the hell out of her life. He wants to go after her but Eugene stops him and tells him he can't have it both ways. Bo changes the subject and wants to figure out a way to get into the Dimera penthouse to get the Baka back.

Down on the docks, Hope thanks Larry for sticking up for her. She tells him that Bo might have smashed her heart into a million pieces but she is going to go on and have a great life without Bo. She asks Larry to help her grab onto the things she wants, he says, "You bet I will! Bo waits back at Shenanigan's for Hope to return home. She arrives with Larry, completely ignores Bo.

The next day, Bo sits with Melissa. She asks him if he is happier with his decision to break up with Hope then why does he look so miserable? Hope seems very interested in this exchange as she listens in. As Bo leaves, he is beyond irritated when Larry strolls in again to see Hope. Later that day, Hope loudly says that she has a date with Larry and walks off. Bo asks Melissa if he heard right? Melissa is puzzled by his interest in who Hope is dating since Bo broke up with her. He realizes how he sounds, stomps off.

Larry waits for Hope, and Bo glowers at the bar. Larry has paid a reporter to write a really sleazy article about Hope. The reporter takes it to her and blackmails her, threatens to have it printed if she doesn't pay him off. Larry conveniently arrives just afterwards, and Hope runs into his arms and begs him for help. Larry is all too happy to play the role of her protector and assures her he will take care of this. The blackmailer calls and Larry takes the call and makes arrangements to meet the blackmailer. He plays up being Hope's protector when she worries that she shouldn't have involved him in blackmail.

Stefano DiMera makes his appearance and shows himself to Tony DiMera. He tells Tony about his plot of killing Roman at the big charity benefit in front of thousands. He shows Tony his surveillance system of Eugene's house, showing that Roman is alive. Tony is shocked to realize that Roman is alive. Larry and Hope are surprised to see Bo walk into Doug's Place.

Eugene has a meeting there with Molly and Bo had no choice but to go with him. Doug is less than thrilled to see Bo there and warns him to stay away from Hope. After his meeting, Eugene tells Bo that the nurse Kelly who died on the streets had $50,000 in the bank so she wasn't on the streets because she was poor but because she choose to. They feel they are on to something (she was a nurse on duty the night that Stefano died the previous year). Eugene and Bo fill Roman in on Kelly's situation, and they figure that the $50,000 was a payoff. They arrange a meeting with Molly's sister, and Roman insists on being present disguised as a bag lady. Her only clue is that her sister was afraid of Alex Marshall who was the person who fired her.

Mrs. H comes in looking for Bo, she tells him that she confessed her role in Roman's escape to Larry. He is worried about the consequences to her. She has no regrets and tells Bo she wished that Roman knew how much she loved him, that she had told him before he died that he was like a son to her (he overhears her from the next table). She tells him that Larry is not going to press charges against her. She starts to ask him about Hope and tells him she hates to see him so unhappy. She observes that Hope is the one who put the sparkle in his eye, and questions him about the "trollop" he has living with him. She suspects something is going on, and realizes when Bo dodges her questions.

Stefano amps up his plot by gas lighting Eugene. First he has his maid call Eugene pretending to be Trista, then they have electronics hooked up his bedroom and Eugene really thinks he is going crazy when he sees Trista. Bo believes there has to be some connection between Kelly and Trista's murder. Eugene goes onto question Bo about Hope. Bo doesn't want to talk about it, he says when this is over he will see if Hope is really over him or if it is too late for them. Eugene tells Bo that he didn't have to do this, that Roman knows how much he and Hope mean to each other and Roman would have understood. Bo says there is no way knowing he could leave Roman to face this on his own.

Larry conveniently shows up just as Hope is leaving to pay her blackmailer $5,000. He calls and tells the guy that Hope is on her way. He finds time to fit in a meeting with Diane and questions her about what happened between Hope and Bo. He threatens Diane that he will tell her pimp where she is if she tells anyone about them meeting. He then goes over and interrupts the meeting with the blackmailer. Larry makes Hope leave and then gets the envelope of the money back for Hope. He tells the guy that he will have an exclusive on all stories coming out of the police department and DA's office.

As Hope comes back in, he throws the guy out with a lot of bluster. Hope is very impressed, Larry admonishes her that she should have come to him for help. She tells Larry that she was worried about his involvement in this situation that it could hurt his career. She holds his hand, and tells him he has helped her out before and turning into her knight in shining armor. Just at this minute, Bo walks in and turns right around and walks out in disgust. Larry calls in sick to work and they play hokey for the afternoon. Hope tells Larry that she feels very safe with him. She leans up to kiss him, he puts his finger on her lips to stop her and tells her that he doesn't want her to kiss him until she really means it.

Stefano and Tony listen in as Eugene tells Bo that he heard Trista's voice again. Then Eugene tells him that Liz recognized the Baka. There is a snowstorm outside, and Shenanigan's is about empty. Hope and Diane have a run into, Diane really lays it on Hope about her life with Bo. Hope slams back that Bo is probably in bed with another tramp like Diane. After Hope stomps off, Larry congratulates Diane on a job well done. She doesn't like torturing Hope like this, but Larry warns her again that he will be happy to tell her pimp where she is. Bo and Eugene come upon Larry and Hope having a snowball fight. They avoid each other and go into the club. Bo runs into Hope at the bar and she gives him this enticing look, then turns and walks away. It's so obvious from the way Bo looks at her each time they run into each other how much he still cares about her.

Bo and Eugene question Marie about the night Stefano died. Marie has a flashback, she gave Trista a ride home that night. She says that Kelly was acting very nervous that night, Trista is puzzled as Kelly had said Stefano had died on his way to having tests done yet there were no tests ordered on the chart. The doctor who treated Stefano died of a heart attack the very next day.

Larry and Hope get stranded during the storm, Hope recognizes Eugene's place. Gwen is there too as her car was also stuck in a snowdrift. Bo and Hope are conveniently left alone while everyone scatters to collect supplies. When the lights go out, Hope runs into Bo's arms. He holds her tenderly until the lights go back on.

Eugene is having another Trista visit and Gwen walks in and sees the vision as well and she starts screaming. Now that Gwen has seen the vision, they realize that someone is trying to make Eugene think he is crazy. They ask Gwen to keep quiet about what she saw and ask her not to tell Larry and Hope, so they all lie and say they saw a mouse. Bo and Eugene realize that whoever has set up this equipment to display Trista's image can also probably watch and hear them. Eugene reports to Bo that there are microphones and cameras everywhere and they lead up to a transmitter in the attic.

Eugene passes a note that the snow is stopping and to get Larry and Hope out of there. Bo starts a verbal fight and it almost comes to blows. Bo tells Hope that he can't stand to see her with him, Hope retorts that he should have thought of that before he moved in with Diane! They leave to Doug's Place. Bo and Eugene realize that with the cameras that they can't get to Roman through the trap door as they don't want to blow his cover just in case, and the door in the back is buried under a snow drift. So there is no other option but they have to go back to Doug's Place to access the tunnel to get to Roman. Bo grimaces as that is where Larry and Hope were headed.

When they arrive, Hope questions why they are there? She tells him she is getting tired of seeing him every time she turns around. He reminds her that she lives and works at Shenanigan's where he also lives so they are going to run into each other. She is annoyed at him for coming to Doug's Place, and he says that Eugene's phone is out and they needed to make some calls on a case they are working on.

Roman tells Bo that it is time to let their folks know that Roman is alive. Bo points out that their Pop is going to beat him to a pulp for not telling him sooner! Roman says he knows, that is why he is giving Bo that job! They stage a fight to make it look like Roman is starting to lose his grip, Stefano watches intrigued. Bo continues his investigation by charming Roberta, a Judy Holiday-esque blonde. Her husband, Mr. Neely was a custom's officer who was stabbed.

Bo takes Roberta to dinner as Bo tries to get information out of her. Mrs. H comes in and does not approve of his date, then she realizes Bo is up to something. Bo is able to steal her passbook and gives it to Abe. Unfortunately, she comes flying in at that moment and accuses Bo of stealing it. Abe covers and says that Eugene found it in the cab and turned it in to Abe. However, Bo did discover that Roberta's husband, Mr. Neely, also deposited $50,000 the day he died. Abe says that something stinks about that night as everyone who had anything to do with Stefano that night is dead.

Roman dresses up as a milkman to sneak into Marlena's. They have arranged for Pop Brady to come over and he is overjoyed to see his eldest alive! Roman and Marlena wind up spending the day together. Mrs. H comes by later and becomes suspicious when Marlena is acting very odd. Alice notices that the milk was left out all day, and sees the hat that Roman was wearing but it's from the wrong dairy. Bo is able to get Alice out of there but she tells him she has questions for him and wants to talk to him later.

Abe got a court order to have the body of Stefano's doctor exhumed, they discover that he didn't die of a heart attack but was poisoned. They later discover that he died the day after he signed Stefano's death certificate. When Mrs. H meets Bo later, she observes that Marlena is not acting like a grieving widow! She asks Bo point blank if Roman is alive. He completely denies it.

Hope and Larry are getting ready to go out. He tells her that she looks gorgeous. She says she feels great now that she is finally over her cold (she has been off screen for at least two weeks, so this must explain her absence). Larry suggests they go out the back door as Bo is downstairs. She insists on going out the front as she needs to talk to Danny anyway. Danny also tells her she looks gorgeous. As Diane drapes herself all over Bo, Hope grabs Larry and says they are going out for an incredible night. After she leaves, Bo knocks something crashing to the ground in his anger. Danny tells him he doesn't know what kind of game he is playing but if he keeps it up he is going to lose Hope, that just in case Bo hasn't noticed, Larry has been sticking to her like glue.

Hope sits quietly in the car, very gloomy. She tries to tell Larry that she doesn't care what Bo does or with who. She asks Larry what she means to him? He counters with the question about how does she feel about him? She says that he has been wonderful to her. He admits that he likes her a lot but he is finding it more difficult to do, especially when she looks the way she does tonight. Hope takes it that Larry is cautious as he is afraid of getting hurt. She tells him that she owes him a lot and will campaign for him. Hope says that her parents approve of Larry and like how much time they are spending together. Larry tells her he will never pressure her, that if anything happens between them it will have to come from her. She tells him that he is terrific.

DVD #3C 3/20-4/2 Bo stops in his tracks as he enters Doug's Place and finds Hope slow dancing in Larry's arms. Liz sings a song, and Hope has flashbacks to being with Bo. Larry calls Diane and tells her to come up with something really good to convince Hope that Bo is out of her life for good. As Hope and Larry are back at Shenanigan's, Diane confides in Danny that she hasn't been feeling well and is worried that she might be pregnant and is afraid to tell Bo.

Bo goes up to talk to Hope, he tells her that he can't stand to see her with Larry. He says that Welch is a conniving, manipulative jerk and that he will only hurt her. Hope says no one has every hurt her the way he did tonight. She tells him she wants him out of her life, for good and she means it. She then opens the door and says if he won't listen to her, that maybe Larry will have to escort him from her apartment. Bo is shocked to see her entertaining Larry alone in her room late at night. He looks seriously worried, he grabs her face, pleading, afraid of where she is headed with Larry. She shuts him out, firmly that she is done with him. After he leaves, Hope asks Larry to kiss her. He complies, and walks away saying "Yes, it won't be long now!"

Mrs. H arrives at Marlena's and demands to know where Roman is? They try to bluff out of it but she is having none of it. She found Roman's mother, Caroline, making his favorite cake. She continues that Caroline only makes that cake for Roman on his birthday, and Roman's birthday is two days away. She says she is not leaving until they tell her where Roman is! Roman comes out, and Alice about melts she is so happy to see him alive!

Roman and Marlena are worried about how miserable Bo is over Hope. They try to get him to talk about it but he refuses, he says he has a job to finish. As he is leaving, Hope arrives. Marlena notices how cool she is towards Bo and tries to get Hope to talk after Bo has left. Hope just says there is nothing to talk about that her relationship with Bo is over. After she leaves, Marlena and Roman both worry about the pain they are both in. Roman hopes that the plan tonight will be the beginning of the end.

Bo and Roman go dumpster diving behind the building that Tony lives in. The find conductor wands (Stefano likes to conduct while listening to classical music), they find Stefano's brand of European cigarettes, an empty bottle of his favorite drink. Eugene shows up and reports that he finally talked to Liz and she saw the Baka about a year ago. He reports that they are running tests on some of the times found in the garbage.

Bo is hoping this over very soon, he stands at the window and flashes back to being with Hope. Eugene calls and tells Bo to come over to Tony's penthouse to help demonstrate their new invention. They are both faking their way through it, and Tony suggests that they bring it over to demonstrate it. Eugene has figured out that the transmissions of the surveillance devices are coming from Tony's building.

Larry has set up a fake dinner date with "Estelle" to make Hope jealous. Instead, he spends the time with Gwen, kissing her. When he is back with Hope, he asks her if he should go out to dinner with Estelle again. Hope firmly says, "No!"

The next night, Hope tries to cook Larry dinner...big mess, lots of pots. When he arrives, there is a table set with candlelit, he tells her he is flattered that she went to all of this trouble just for him. Of course, she winds up burning dinner but Larry makes the best of it and helps her salvage it. Hope admits to Larry that this is her first dinner party, in fact the first time she has ever cooked. Larry and Hope run into Bo again, and Hope hugs Larry and comments on how much fun they are going to have. Bo grimaces but restrains himself, he can feel they are getting to the end of this and just wants to get the job done. Larry and Hope go down to the docks and he kisses her, though she is thinking of Bo's kisses.

Bo and Eugene show up at Tony's with their funky little invention, they use it as an excuse to get into the penthouse. Neither Tony nor Anna are too interested as they are getting ready for their engagement party that night. They plan on returning that night for the party and searching Tony's penthouse then while they are out at the party. There is a goof at the party and nothing is ready. Alex invites everyone go back to Tony's penthouse. Bo and Eugene are almost caught as Tony, Anna, Mrs. Horton arrive. They sneak out so that they can re-enter as party guests. Mrs. H spots them and wants to know what they are up to, they engage her help in covering for them as they search the penthouse for the Baka.

Larry and Hope are on their way to the party, Larry suggests they just make an appearance and then head out as he has a surprise planned for her. She is intrigued, and he plays up the mystery and intrigue to keep her entertained recognizing that she is attracted to that. She tells him he doesn't have to do that to keep seeing her, that she enjoys being with him. This makes Larry's night as his plan to woo Hope is working, only because Bo has taken himself out of the picture.

Hope arrives and her and Bo can't take their eyes off of each other. Bo eats his heart out over seeing Hope on Larry's arm. He doesn't fool Mrs. H who calls him on it and tells him not to let this thing with Hope go to far. Two timing Larry is asking if he can see Gwen later that night (so he is going after Hope for her money and political connections as she will help get him elected, but he is attracted and starting to care for Gwen who is surprisingly willing to be the other woman).

Larry surprises Hope with a horse and carriage, a bottle of champagne, and a tiara (playing up her father's nickname for her "Princess"). Larry gets her a bit tipsy with champagne and brings out the picnic basket. She tells him she doesn't want to be a princess anymore, she just wants to be herself, that she is happy just being herself and having more fun that she has had in a long time. Hope continues to drink, and Larry takes his opportunity to kiss Hope before taking her home.

Bo and Hope search the penthouse, find a safe, and try to break into it. They run out onto the patio and Gene falls over the balcony railing. Bo finds him hanging on the railing and pulls him up. They are forced to hang out on the balcony as Tony and Anna smooch, fortunately for the boys Stefano calls and tells him to get over there ASAP. Tony drugs Anna and when she passes out he answers Stefano's summons. He takes Anna off to her bedroom, and the boys run to get out.

Tony comes back in and surprises Bo and Eugene at the door. They say they returned to look for their car keys and didn't want to wake him. Tony tells Stefano that Eugene and Bo are acting very strange and asks if Stefano has noticed anything strange on his monitors. Stefano is not concerned as he believes that if they had discovered anything at all that he would have heard them talk about it on the monitors. Tony enters a walled room, he removes a mask over a prisoner and its revealed that this is the real Tony DiMera and his cousin, Andre, has been impersonating him. **The End**
