Bo & Hope #25 December 26, 1995 - March 19, 1996: 8 hour original edit

DVD #25A 12/26 Bo, Hope and Shawn-D go skating. Watching Hope ice skate, Bo has a flashback to her skating performance in the 80’s, followed by a long musical montage of special BH moments. They skate together, and wind up staring into each others eyes as he wishes his Fancy Face a Merry Christmas.

12/29 Bo tells Hope he can't ignore his love for Billie and that Hope knows this. She urges him to spend New Years with Hope and their son. Shawn-D tries to get his parents together at midnight. Both Bo and Hope say they are going to bed early. Just after midnight they meet up and admit that each was thinking of the other at midnight. They begin to kiss. Peter reluctantly agrees to meet Jude but warns him to stay out of sight. Jude vows to not leave Aremid until he gets revenge on Hope.

1/2 When Jude spies on Bo kissing Hope, Jack spots him and informs Bo and Hope, who go to Abe for assistance. Bo uses police dogs to try to track down the man (he uses an article of clothing from the cabin where Jude took Hope to give the dogs Jude's scent). Abe later finds one of Jude's gloves in the snow.

1/3 The search for Jude is on. The state police and search dogs wait to pitch in. To keep his connection to Jude St. Clair a secret, Peter has no choice but to help the guy get out of town. As Peter guides Jude out of the woods, they come across Jack and Jenn searching. Jude thinks that was too close for comfort, and blackmails Peter into depositing money into an off-shore account. If you don't, warns Jude, I will tell Jenn everything. Peter goes along with Jude's demands, but as soon as they are out of the woods, Peter tells Jude that he is on his own.

Jack meets up with Abe, Bo, Hope, and the other cops, and no one has found Jude yet. Jack again gets suspicious when Peter says Jude is probably long gone, and it's for the best for the safety of the people in Aremid. Jennifer is still wandering around and runs right into Jude. She recognizes him and tries to get away, but an earlier ankle injury impedes her. Jude realizes he now has a hostage should he need one.

Bo and Hope both wonder how their New Year's kiss will affect their future relationship. They both admit they felt passion, but Bo wants to be sure before they move forward. “I'm sorry”, sighs Hope, “but I'm not sure that I can give you the time that you need to sort things out.”

1/4 Jennifer is captured by Jude in the woods. He drags her back to his hideout, an old shack that's hidden in the forest. After tying her up, Jude goes back out again and this time, he runs into Jack. Jude threatens Jack with a knife, but Jack says he's in a bad mood and ready for a fight. The two struggle, and Jack gets the knife away from him. He intends to take Jude straight to the police, but he informs Jack that if he does so, Jennifer will die. He has taken her hostage, and if Jack turns him in, he will never reveal where she is. Jack lets Jude go, and he reminds him not to try to follow him either.

Jennifer escapes and makes a run for it. Abe calls Bo & Hope and tells them that Jennifer is safe back at the lodge but Jude had kidnapped her. When Bo & Hope arrive, Jennifer explains that Jude is really angry with Hope because she injured him.

Hope suggests to the state troopers that she will be the bait to lure Jude out of hiding. They warn her that this could work but would be very dangerous. She tells them she is a trained police officer. Bo interrupts the conversation and doesn't like this scheme one little bit. Hope confronts Bo as to why he's being so protective of her, but she can't get a straight answer from him. Upset, she tells him she can't deal with his mixed signals. She then talks to Jack and gets him to admit he let Jude go because he was protecting Jennifer. Hope gets impatient with Bo's indecision.

1/5 Hope is frustrated by Bo's concern for her. She knows Bo has feelings for her, but there are still obstacles in the way. Hope is also annoyed with Bo for refusing to commit. He wants to take things slow and be sure of his feelings. She is tempted to walk away but she won't because she loves him too much. Pushing thoughts of Bo out of her mind, Hope goes on that stake-out, hoping to flush Jude out of hiding. Bo is worried about Hope and tracks her down. He sneaks up behind her and she nearly shoots him. She is angry and can't understand why he's being so protective of her if he doesn't love her. Bo tells her he *does* love her, and they kiss.

1/8 Bo and Hope continue their long, passionate kiss. While there's no doubt about the physical connection between them, Hope needs to know about Bo's emotional feelings. While arguing, Hope accidentally throws her back out. Bo carries her back to the pub, and there aren't any chiropractors or massage therapists in town. Bo takes her to a hot spring and they share a very sexy kiss as they soak in the warm water. Things get hot causing Hope to pull away.

Hope tells Bo that she wants to be given flowers, to laugh, to be courted like the old days. She recalls her and Bo's time in New Orleans, where they made love for the first time. Bo then has a man-to-man talk with Abe who essentially tells Bo to stop jerking Hope around. Bo shows up at Hope's room with flowers. He is ready to begin wooing her. He asks her out on a date, and she accepts. Bo turns on the charm with Hope.

1/9 Bo admits to Hope that he was wrong not to accept her the minute she returned to Salem. He begs her to give their love another chance, and asks if they can start their new relationship with a fantasy date. Hope says she'd be happy just for them to spend time together. Hope sits down and chats with Kristen and Lexie while Bo tries to come up with a plan.

When John and Abe hear about this, they want to do the same thing for the women they love. The three men take their three women to the Blake house. The men come up with a fantasy evening of elegance in another century. Kristen, Hope, and Lexie go up to the attic and pick out antique gowns to wear. The men put on white tuxedoes. Naturally, the women in their lives are awed by what they've done for them. The ladies do their hair and makeup and come up with the perfect accessories for these fabulous gowns. The three couples dance the night away. Bo asks Hope what she thinks of their first 'date', because he wants many, many more dates to come.

1/10 The fantasy date for Abe and Lexie, John and Kristen, and Bo and Hope continues. Bo and Hope are thrilled to be together again and dance the night away. It begins to storm out. Bo and Hope continue to dance together. They finally realize that John and Kristen and Abe and Lexie have already left. The clock strikes midnight, and Bo asks for one last dance. He walks her back to her room, and they share a goodnight kiss.

Poem from Bo to Hope, “She looks at the world through eyes of kindness Her hair glistens with the brilliant glow of stars Her face reflecting certainty and expectation Faith and hope turns always to the light. And her lips touch our souls with kisses too sweet to remember without tears of joy She stands cloaked in warmth and tenderness and mystery She is love, precious love to the fortunate she comes once, but never again so guard her with every strength in you never let her go.”

1/12 Today is the day of John's bail hearing. Peter tries to convince the judge that John should be behind bars. Mickey does his best to sway the judge, but in the end, his Honor rules in favor of the prosecution. John is returned to his holding cell, and Kristen tries her best to deal with the sent back to his cell.

Bo and Hope are upset by the setback, but vow to clear John's name. Shawn-Douglas notes that both of them have been staring off into space and smiling since last night. Bo tells him he and Hope had a really good time on their date. Bo presents Hope with a special candy, which he recalls she craved whilst pregnant with Shawn-Douglas. She remembers how hard it was to find these candies, and how they talked about stocking up for when she gets pregnant again.

1/17 Bo and Hope have made plans for a romantic dinner for two, but those plans fly out the window when Shawn-Douglas reminds his dad that he promised to take him fishing. He tries to get out of it, but Hope tells Bo that a promise is a promise. They can bring back the fish they catch (already scaled and cleaned of course) and they'll have dinner tomorrow. It turns into a family outing when Hope joins them at the camp site.

Bo tells a story about a princess. A common man falls in love with her, and they marry. They have a son, a prince. "And they live happily ever after?" says Shawn-Douglas. No, says Bo. An evil sorcerer takes the princess away. Years later they find her again. But Bo doesn't know how the story ends. He promises Shawn-Douglas he'll tell him when he knows. As Shawn-Douglas sleeps in the tent, Bo and Hope get closer.

1/18 Bo is hot for Hope, and although she feels the same, she thinks they should wait. He goes into her tent to wake her, and she's dreaming about him. He asks what she was smiling about, what was the dream? She admits it was about him. Shawn-Douglas comes along and teases his mother about talking in her sleep last night. All she said was "Bo... Bo... Bo…" To ease the sexual tension between them, Bo challenges Hope to a fishing contest to see who can catch the most fish. The loser has to make breakfast in bed for the other for a week.

Bo and Shawn-D fish in a different area than Hope, and don't have much luck. They return to camp to find Hope cooking up half a dozen trout. Unfortunately the forest ranger ruins Hope's trick when he stops by to return the car keys she dropped, and a receipt from a local fish market. Later, they decide to go skiing. They pack to head up to the mountains, unaware that Jude St. Clair is already there, waiting to get his revenge on Hope.

1/19 Bo, Hope, and Shawn-Douglas arrive at the ski lodge. Hope challenges Bo to a race down one of the slopes tomorrow. She claims to be a better skier than him, and the loser will have to do whatever the other person wants for an entire day. The two cuddle by the fire as Shawn-Douglas sleeps. Meanwhile, the ranger on duty hears a report that avalanche conditions may be in the area. Thinking that no one is around because of the bitter cold, he decides to wait until tomorrow to post the warnings. If Bo and Hope don't spot that sign, it could be curtains for them.

1/22 Bo has a nightmare about when Hope 'died' over the vat of acid. Upon waking, he searches for Hope. She promises him she would never willingly leave him like that again. Frustrated and impatient, Hope calls Alice. Reassured, she goes skiing. Bo has decided that it's time to tell Hope that he loves her, after much pushing from Shawn-Douglas, he promises he will tell her today. The problem is, Hope's gone to the ski run.

Bo isn't concerned until he runs into a ranger, who informs him of the avalanche danger. Bo calls Hope on her cell phone, but they have a bad connection and Hope assumes Bo is trying to get her off the slopes so she won't beat him skiing later. She hangs up. In a panic, Bo runs to get Hope, but he's too late. She's already been buried under a ton of snow.

1/23 Bo searches for Hope, but with no luck. When the ranger comes by, Bo tells him what has happened. Shaking his head, the ranger murmurs "if she was caught in that avalanche, odds are against her survival." Bo decides to form a search party.

1/24 Bo searches alone until Jennifer, Jack, Abe, and Lexie show up. Shawn-Douglas is upset to hear the news about his mother missing. Bo promises him that he will find her. While searching, he finds a flower in bloom. He takes it as a sign that Hope is OK. She's actually buried under a tree somewhere, or at least that's what it looked like.

1/25 Bo frantically searches for Hope until Abe finally forces him to go back to the shelter to rest. Bo regrets not having told Hope how much he loved her when he had the chance. Abe says he can tell her when they find her. He also says Hope is fine if she found shelter. If she didn't.... she's gone already. Bo of course refuses to acknowledge this possibility. When no one is looking, Bo slips out to resume his search. He doesn't care that the snowstorm is erasing all traces of Hope, or that he facing a dangerous and potentially futile mission.

1/26 The ranger stumbles in later with the news that it could be curtains for Hope if she isn't found soon. Abe returns without Bo and everyone realizes that Bo is now missing too.

1/29 In search of Hope, helicopter and dog teams have been brought in and soon the copter spots a body. John, Kristen, and Abe spring into action and find that it's Bo. He's not dead, just unconscious, but his condition is serious. Mike steps in and revives Bo. In his groggy state, Bo's first worry is still Hope. The ranger comes in to say he's sorry, but they're calling off the search.

1/30 Bo is still determined to find Hope, but Mike knows it would be certain death for Bo in his weakened condition and refuses to let him leave the shelter. Mike gives him a sedative so he is easier to control. The ranger returns to remind the search party that there is nothing more they can do. Bo polls the room and it seems that everyone thinks that he should accept the fact that Hope is dead.

Victor, Caroline, and Shawn arrive in Aremid and ask what they can do. The ranger says it's not a matter of manpower or money. Hope has been missing too long. Bo is still certain Hope is alive.

1/31 Hope is buried beneath a blanket of snow, but she's alive. Back at the shelter, Bo's friends have told him time and again that it's wrong to continue to have faith that Hope is still alive. But Bo is still having a tough time accepting this, and he goes off by himself to pray for advice from God so he will know what to do. Bo gets the sign he's been looking for [he hears Hope's voice calling to him] and vows to return to the mountain to find his beloved Hope. Victor tries to explain to Bo that he's hearing things. He went through the same thing when he lost Kate.

Due to the instability of the mountain, the rangers will arrest anyone who tries to continue the search. But as Bo is about to take off, Shawn-Douglas runs in, terrified at the thought of losing his Dad as well as his Mom. Bo realizes this is tough on the kid, and tries his best to comfort his son. Shawn-Douglas makes him promise he won't go out on the mountain and die. Bo promises. John uses this opportunity to sneak off to find Hope.

John doesn't find Hope, but the police find him and bring him back. When Bo hears about this, he cries "As long as John was out there, I felt there was a chance. Now it seems it's over." Bo prays again, just to find Hope, alive or not, so he can hold her and kiss her one last time. Someone just found Hope in the snow, she had poked an air-hole through the snow (apparently she wasn't buried so deep). The stranger carries her into a cabin. Hope seems to be alive, but her ultimate fate is still very much up in the air.

2/2 Bo is overcome with grief when Alice calls looking for Hope. Bo can't explain over the phone, but his heart breaks at the thought of Alice hearing the news. Shawn and Caroline say they will tell Alice when they return to Salem. Bo wants to stay in Aremid and find Hope (her body at least) so he can bring her home. When Alice is finally told of Hope's demise, she, like Bo, refuses to believe it. She calls Bo and tells him she doesn't feel in her heart that Hope is dead. Tom will send Bo a sign that Hope is alive.

Bo goes with Shawn-Douglas to say good-bye to Hope, looking for closure and a way to begin healing. They lay a wreath of flowers near the area where they were fishing a few short days ago. Shawn-Douglas spots a bird caught in the bushes, and Bo rescues it. Shawn-Douglas wants to keep it and take care of it, but Bo tells him he must let it go, and Bo releases it. But in the end, Bo still can't bring himself the fact that Hope is gone. He returns to the wreath of flowers and finds the bird there. Is it a sign?

Miles away, Hope is warm in that cabin, but she's barely conscious and completely unaware of where she is. The mystery man tends to Hope's injuries. He's none other than Jude St. Clair. Hope continuously calls out to Bo, and tells him how much she loves him, but it is Jude she is speaking to.

Dvd #25B 2/6 Hope is dreaming about Bo and calling out to him. She thinks she she's him on the bed and tells him that she loves him but it was Jude. Hope is in bed shivering with fever and asking for help. Jude stands looking at her and says he wants to get her back but she has to be awake. Hope's fever is down and again Jude says how she must get better but she will wish she was dead. Hope thinks Jude is Bo. Jude wants to learn about her and Bo. Hope is dreaming about being buried in the avalanche and wake up. She looks around and asks "where am I?"

Bo is outside the Aremid pub and Jack comes out to check up on him. Bo tells Jack that he can't believe that Hope is gone. Jack supports and sympathises. Bo believes that she is not gone. Jack and Bo are still talking about Hope. A State Trooper interrupts them and Bo goes inside. Jack is determined to find Jude.

Bo is at the bar drinking and Abe told him that they have found someone who know something about Jude. A State Trooper brings in Harry Wilcox. Abe questions Harry about Jude. Bo gets upset when he says he doesn't know him. Harry admits he talked to Jude and after being pressured he tells them that he had asked Jude for a light for his cigarette. Bo pins Harry to the wall.

Abe takes Bo off Harry and tells the Trooper to arrest Harry on outstanding warrants. Abe tell Bo to calm down and accept that Hope is gone. Bo says he misses her. Bo is outside talking to the heavens saying he believes Hope is still alive and how much he loves her. "Please God, let her know how much I love her".

Hope calls for Bo. Jude comes in with firewood and tells her Bo isn't there but not to worry as he is going to take care of her. Hope is scared and asks Jude to let her go. Jude taunts her and she says she won't tell anyone that she saw him. He agrees and handcuffs her to the bed so she can't escape and that he has plans and they are going to have a real good time.

2/7 Hope is wondering where Jude is and heard Bo calling. She calls out and he comes rushing in. Bo and Hope kiss and he says he will get her out. Hope wakes up from her dream. Jude tells her she will not be rescued but Hope believes Bo will find her. Jude keeps telling Hope that she can't escape and is going to show her what he wants from her.

In his hotel room, Bo wakes up and someone is at the door. It is Laura. She is worried about Shawn-D becoming withdrawn and thinks Bo should take him home.Bo says he will take care of Shawn-D. Laura says he needs to go home and be with his friends and family but Bo won't leave. Laura says that she thinks Bo is staying because he believes Hope is alive.

Bo is pressuring the State Troopers to find Hope. They tell Bo to go home but he won't. Laura rushes outside and tells Bo that Shawn-D needs him. She tells Bo that Shawn-D had overheard someone talking about a lady frozen and alone in the snow. Bo tells Shawn-D that he will take him home and that Hope is safe where she is. Bo is packing to leave and realizes he has to take Shawn-D home.

Hope tells Jude he will be charged with kidnapping. Jude says he doesn't care and starts kissing her neck. She tells him to stop. He stops when he sees she is still sick with a fever. He doesn't want her illness and she tells him to leave her there but he says that they will have some good times together when she is well. Jude helps to cool down Hope with a face cloth on her forehead. He still goes on about revenge. Hope begs Bo not to give up on her.

Bo and Shawn-D go to leave and Laura gives them a hug. Shawn-D notices the bird that they had released while they were camping. Hope is lying sick and begs Bo to find her. Bo turns to Laura and asks her what she wanted? Laura says that she didn't say anything. Bo and Shawn D leave.

2/9 Bo and Shawn-D arrive back at the boat. Shawn-D finds a magazine that he had got for Hope and says how much he was hoping they would be a family. Bo agrees. Bo is on the boat going through the mail when Shawn-D comes in and asks what they will do without Hope. Bo says they will look after each other. Shawn-D says again that he was hoping they would have been a family again.

Bo asks Shawn-D if he wants to go to school and Shawn-D replies that he does because he doesn't want to let Hope down. Bo tells him that he has to be brave. Shawn-D says he misses Hope and Bo agrees. Sawn-D says that Hope knew Bo loved her and Bo tells Shawn-D that he loves him and Shawn-D tells Bo that he loves him too. Bo then lets Shawn-D go to a friends place. When he leaves, Bo plays back the answering machine and hears Hope. He plays back the message. Bo is still listening to the answer machine and is talking to himself about whether or not to let Hope go. Shawn-D is listening at the door.

Jude is getting angry because Hope keeps calling out for Bo. Jude is hungry and there is no food in the cabin. Hope is trying to remove the handcuffs whilst Jude isn't looking. Jude then tells Hope he is going to look for food and not to try to escape. He leaves. She tries to unscrew the bed railing. Jude breaks into another cabin and starts to fill a bag with food. Hope is still trying to get the handcuffs off the bed railing.

Bo looks at photos of Hope and then walks out into the galley. Shawn-D is there with Alice. Shawn-D leaves them together. Alice tells Bo to have faith and that he will find Hope. They hug. Bo is telling Alice how busy he is. Alice wants to know what is really going on. Bo tells Alice that he feels guilty for not telling Hope that he loved her.

Hope is still struggling to be free. Jude throws more food into the bag and then spots a Valentine's Day card on the table. He reads it then opens the present and takes it with him. He realizes he needs money and sees a phone and picks it up. Hope collapses back on the bed and tries to untie her legs. Hope manages to release herself from the bed.

2/12 Alice tells Bo she believes Hope is alive and to have faith. She asks Bo to go with her somewhere. Alice takes Bo to church and tells him that God can help him. Bo prays and asks for God's help. He asks God to take care of Hope. Bo is still in the church praying and saying he feels Hope is alive and talking to him. He wants to know where Hope is and what to do.

Hope is still trying to escape but is very weak. Hope is still struggling with the ropes. Hope looks for something to cut the ropes with but she manages to untie the ropes and grabs her coat and shoes and runs off. Jude is on his way back to the cabin. Jude arrives back in the cabin and finds Hope gone. He is really angry and goes looking for Hope. Meanwhile, she has collapsed in the snow. Hope struggles up and wanders off. Jude is still searching for Hope.

Alice believes that God will help, though Bo doesn't understand why God would do this to Shawn-D. Alice asks if God has sent a sign. Bo tells her about the bird. Bo is not sure the bird is a good sign. Alice is lighting candles in the church and asks God to show Bo a sign that Hope is still alive.

Bo is at Hope's original grave site talking to her. He hadn't gotten around to removing it after Hope was found alive. He puts a rose on her grave and asks God what to do and where she is. He turns to leave and turns back to the grave again and sees the bird is sitting there. Bo walks towards the bird and kneels in the snow. He asks God if this means that Hope is with him. He starts crying and says goodbye to Hope. He gets up and leaves.

Jude has found Hope and drags her back into the cabin. Hope collapses on the floor. Jude puts Hope in to the bed and tries to wake her up but he realizes she has a fever again and he thinks she is dying.

2/15 Bo is dreaming about being in bed with Hope. He wakes and comments how alive she seems and that he can't let her go. Shawn and Caroline come to see Bo. They can see that Bo isn't okay and Shawn wants Bo to talk about Hope. Bo says it won't bring her back and Caroline agrees but it might make him accept that she's gone and Bo admits that he can't do that. He tells them that he can't get her out of his mind. Bo decides to go back to work.

Hope is at the cabin calling out for Bo. Her fever is worse and Jude is worries she will die. Hope is still calling out for Bo and Jude is worried so he tells her that he'll be back soon with help for her. Hope is delirious and dreaming about being with Bo and how he didn't give up on her. She continues to call out for him to help her. Meanwhile, Jude goes back to the cabin he stole food from and sees it is still empty. He starts searching for medicine and finds some aspirin. A boy comes into the cabin and asks who he is.

Shawn and Caroline tell Bo that he shouldn't be going back to work so soon. Bo tells them that he and Shawn-D need to get their lives back together - Shawn-D has gone back to school and he will go back to work. Caroline tells him she loves him. They hug and he leaves but his parents are very worried. Shawn says "as Roman used to say, a cop with nothing to live for is as good as dead". They wonder how they can help Bo and Caroline gets on the phone.

Bo goes into the office, Hal, a colleague, comes in and says he's sorry about Hope and that she was liked and will be missed. Bo asks if there is anything going down? Hal tells him that the new cases are on the desk and to help himself and leaves. Bo starts going through the files when Laura comes in to see how he's doing and that she wants to help. Bo says he doesn't want any so Laura pulls rank as Police Psychiatrist and says they will talk professionally.

Hope comes to and sees she is in the cabin and tries to get away with no luck. Back at the other cabin, the boy shouts to his father that someone is there and Jude takes off. Hope comes around and Jude is still looking after her. He tells her that he got her out of the snow and not Bo. She comments that Jude hates her so why does he help her. Jude says he wants to pay her back for what she did to him. She asks for his help and not to let her die.

Laura tells Bo that his parents are concerned and think it is far too soon for him to be on active duty. Bo replies that parents worry and that's what they should do and Laura should know better. She tells him that she will check him out, Bo says she has done that but she replies that there is more to it than that and doesn't think Bo is ready emotionally. Bo insists he needs work to stop thinking about Hope but Laura says as a cop that he can put him and everyone else he works with at risk.

Bo says he is aware of it and will pull himself off a case if it gets to be too much - the last thing he wants to do is make Shawn-D an orphan. He insists work will keep him sane. Laura agrees but there are two conditions: 1. Work load must be light with no double shifts. 2. He must check in with her regularly. Bo agrees and she leaves. He then finds a case that is extremely dangerous and decides to handle it. Laura goes to the boat and sees Shawn and Caroline. They discuss Bo but Laura reassures them that Bo has promised to have a light case load. Shawn disagrees and says Bo will do what he wants.

Bo picks out his assignment and Hal comes to say that it is a really bad assignment but Bo says that's what he wants. Hal says that as Bo doesn't have a partner any more he would back him up. Bo agrees and Hal leaves to get a car. Another police officer comes in with Hope's things from her locker. He goes through her things and finds some photos of him and Shawn-D - the officer comments how much Hope loved them and Bo says he loved her.

2/20 Hope is getting worse instead of better [and Jude has used up all the aspirin]. Jude thought her fever would have broken by now, but she sinks deeper into delirium. [He tells her to try to stay awake, but she finds it very difficult. She asks him to talk to her, so he starts telling her about himself. He has two older brothers, and his parents divorced when he was very young. He didn't take it very well, and he lived with his father, who beat him. He was a trouble maker, then he got involved in the "good life".

Hope asks if there have been any women in his life. Lots of women, he says; but she wants to know if he's ever been in love. Yes, when he was much younger. Her name was Marie, and she looked a lot like Hope. Disturbed, Jude stops talking about himself. By the end of the day, Hope collapses [she's in bed, but she loses consciousness and Jude can't rouse her], and Jude fears that her fight to hang on to life might be over.

Meanwhile, Bo returns to work, stubbornly resisting his parents and his partner's fear that he is not ready to return to the mean streets of Salem. Bo and his partner get a call about a possible drug deal going down in some apartment. It should have been a routine bust, but the dealers refuse to surrender. Before the police can react, the bad guy grabs the gun and starts shooting. Bo and his partner return fire, and afters the smoke clears, someone has taken a bullet.

2/21 Hope has survived the night, but her fever is still raging. Jude doesn't know what to do until all at once the fever breaks. Hope is all right. She's still weak, but the worst is over. Jude is glad of it, but he has no intention of letting Hope go, not now, not ever. Despite Hope's thankfulness for saving her and her belief that there is some good in Jude, he will not let her return to her family.

She is handcuffed to the bed again, and she clings to the Hope that Bo will rescue her. Remember Bo's involvement in that drug bust that turned into a shoot-out? Well, he's fine, but a young pregnant girl was caught in the crossfire. She is now in labor, and with no way to get help with all the gangs around, Bo helps her through it. He does his best to be there for her, in a way he wasn't able to be for Hope. She gives birth to a baby girl, whom she decides to name Hope. Disturbed, Bo calls his parents and tells them he's made a decision.

2/22 Jude tells Hope that no one is looking for her anymore and now that she's well, he can have his way with her. She believes he is a good person and doesn't really want to hurt her, but it doesn't stop him. She wards him off for a while longer by telling him she's still sick. Alone while a frustrated Jude goes out for some air, Hope fervently tries to contact Bo in her thoughts. She believes that their love is strong enough that he will feel that she is still alive.

In Salem, Bo tells his parents that he has decided to hold a memorial service for Hope, so that Shawn-Douglas can remember his mother and move forward. Victor stops by to tell Bo about John, and because he's concerned about him. Bo admits that he can't let go of Hope, because something is telling him that she's still alive. Then the bell on his boat rings. He takes it as a sign that Hope is alive. (Fake flashback time: Hope said that ringing the bell meant all is well. Carly gave him a bell; not Hope.)

2/28 The gala fundraiser in Kate's memory begins. There is even a television crew there. Bo shows up for Victor's sake, but clearly isn't up to the event. He sees a woman who looks like Hope, and follows her. It isn't her, of course. Shawn tells Bo that he needs time to heal. Alone on the balcony of the Penthouse Grille, Bo says for some reason he can't let go of Hope.

Back in the mountains, Hope has another chance to escape from Jude when he goes to get more food for them, but she knows she's too weak to make it, and he threatened to kill her if she tried to run away again. She prays that Bo will find her.

3/5 Bo is struggling to let go of Hope, this time because of her upcoming memorial service. [Shawn-Douglas has written a poem that he will read for his mother. Caroline stops by and goes through the "You have to let her go" speech with Bo. He agrees that it's the best thing for Shawn-Douglas.] But the feeling that Hope is still alive continues to haunt Bo's every moment.

Meanwhile, Hope has her hands full fighting off a drunken Jude as he tries to force himself on her. Hope manages to fend him off this time, but she doesn't know about the next time. [First she tries to convince him that she's still sick, and if he contracts it, there's no one to take care of him. Then she hints that maybe she *does* want him, and after all he did save her life, but it would be so much more exciting and passionate if they got to know each other first. She badgers him about this "Marie" person he was in love with, and he clearly doesn't want to talk about her. She finally wears him down and he says he's tired (must be all the booze). When she thinks he's asleep, she works on getting out of her handcuffs, but he's awake, and tells her there's no escape.

3/11 Bo tells Victor that he is canceling the memorial service for Hope. He believes that if Kate came back, then he should not give up on Hope. He returns to Aremid. He sees the white bird and realizes it was a sign that Hope was alive.

Hope continues to convince Jude that she wants to be with him. She gets him to talk about his ex-girlfriend. She tells hims she will cook him dinner like she used to. Jude uncuffs her so she can cook. Hope deliberately uses the old stove, which produces a lot of smoke, in hopes that Bo might find her.

3/12 Hope continues to feed the fire in the smoky stove. When Jude enters she distracts him from seeing the stove. When they hear a helicopter, Hope starts to dance for him to distract him. Jude discovers the stove is on & realizes that Hope was trying to escape. He is furious and starts to attack her. He swears he will kill her.

Bo arranges for a helicopter pilot to fly him over the mountain. He sees the smoke from the cabin but the pilot thinks it is a cloud shadow. The pilot takes Bo back. Bo asks Sara to help him with supplies & he heads back on foot.

3/13 Hope manages to stop Jude from raping her. He tells her that he has decided to increase her suffering by selling her into slavery. Hope tells Jude that they could go into partnership where he sells her then helps her escape and then resells her thus increasing his profit. Jude likes the idea and tells her he knows a guy who could help bankroll the operation.

Bo searches the mountain for the cabin but loses his compass and becomes lost. He stumbles and falls. Jack heads up to Aremid to help Bo. When he arrives, Sara tells him that Bo has gone up the mountain alone. Jack goes after him.

3/14 Hope tries to convince Jude to go along with her plan. She again manages to stall him from raping her but worries she cannot do it for much longer. She encourages him to call his backer and silently prays that Bo will find her.

Jack almost finds Bo lying in the snow but Sara finds Jack first and insists he return to the pub until the storm is over. Jack yields. He plans to call Mike to help him search but Jen & Peter take the call. Jen convinces Peter to return to Aremid. Jack & Jen head out after the storm. They find Bo and convince him to return to the pub. Bo tells them he saw Hope but it was just a hallucination.

3/15 Jack & Jen take Bo to the pub where Mike tends to his wounds. Mike tells them that Bo has a few cuts & bruises and needs rest. Bo tries to tell them that he saw Hope but they tell him he just imagined it. Sara tells everyone that there was a report of a cabin being broken into. Jack concludes it is Jude. Bo suspects that Jude is holding Hope and sneaks out of his room to go searching again.

Hope convinces Jude to call his backer and Jude calls Peter. He tells Peter he needs money or he will tell Jen about their association. Peter agrees to meet Jude. Hope takes a bath and Jude comes in on her.

3/18 Hope tries to convince Jude that she's interested in him both personally and professionally. Of course she is only doing this to get Jude to trust her, and once he does, Hope's going to make a break for it. Seeing her in the bathtub, he starts coming on strong. Unfortunately for Hope, Jude wants her, and he wants her *now*. She convinces him to unchain her. They are on the bed when Jude realizes that he's supposed to meet Peter. Hope tries to find out who he's meeting, but he won't tell her. He chains her up again and leaves.

Meanwhile, a bedridden Bo can't bear the thought of Hope being out there alone. Even though everyone else thinks she's gone, Bo doesn't and he won't, not ever. Obsessed with this, Bo has a vision that Hope is alive. Desperate to rescue her, Bo struggles to get out of bed and back to that mountain. Bo has no idea that another deadly storm is on the way and in his weakened condition, it can only spell disaster.

Peter is meeting Jude to give him the money he demanded. Through Peter, Jude learns that someone is looking for a woman who was caught in an avalanche. Jude figures out that it's Bo looking for Hope. Jude returns to the cabin and starts coming on to Hope, who puts him off by reminding him that she wants champagne and caviar. Feeling frustrated and selfish, Jude decides that he's not going to spend *his* money on that, and ransacks Hope's belongings. He finds Hope's badge and realizes she's a cop. Meanwhile, Bo's brain has defrosted and he guesses that Jude has had Hope all this time. Finding tracks in the snow, he follows them.

3/19 Jude finds out that Hope is a cop. He confronts her about this, and accuses Hope of having been on to him all along. Hope tries to deny it [saying she was working on a case at first, but then really fell for him], but this time Jude doesn't believe a word she has to say. In fact, Jude is so angry with Hope for having duped him that he intends to get revenge, and he doesn't intend to stop at rape. [He intends to kill Hope. Her cop skills finally resurface and she injures him, giving her enough time to run off. Unfortunately, Jude soon catches up with her.]

Meanwhile, Bo is once again searching for Hope. He takes his time, not knowing that Hope is more danger than ever before. Jude gets Hope in a chokehold, and she passes out. Then Bo shows up and gets in a fist fight with Jude. After Bo knocks Jude down, he checks on Hope, who comes to and tells Bo she knew he'd come for her. Bo holds her tenderly, hugging her in relief. Jude recovers and aims a gun at the two.
