The following webpage contains an English-Pamir word list. The word list contains English vocabulary translated into Ishkashmi, Zebaki, Wakhi, and Yazghulami. For a detailed description of the Pamiri people see the following sections of the The Red Book of the Peoples of the Russian Empire.

Ishkashmis.

Wakhs.

Yazghulami.

(Sorry, there is no Zebaki section)

The Ishkashmi-English word list was compiled by Sir George A. Grierson and was published as the chapter titled "English-Ishkashmi-Zebaki-Wakhi-Yazghulami Vocabulary" in Ishkashmi, Zebaki, and Yazghulami: An Account of Three Eranian Dialects (pp. 105-126; 1920, Royal Asiatic Society, London). This webpage contains an exact reproduction of Grierson's work with the exception that Grierson's transliteration scheme, which was based on Greek characters, has been replaced by R. B. Shaw's, a Latin character scheme that was published on p. 9 of Ishkashmi, Zebaki, and Yazghulami.

Below is a list of the abbreviated language-references found in the following work. A complete listing is found on page 9 of Grierson's work, Ishkashmi, Zebaki, and Yazghulami.

Ish. = Ishkasmi W. = Wakhi.
Yz. = Yazghulami Zb. = Zebaki.

The following is the forward to "English-Ishkashmi-Zebaki- Wakhi-Yazghulami Vocabulary" which appears on page 105 of Ishkashmi, Zebaki, and Yazghulami: An Account of Three Eranian Dialects (pp. 105-126; 1920, Royal Asiatic Society, London).

English-Ishkashmi-Zebaki-
Wakhi-Yazghulami Vocabulary

(Including a few words from other Pamir languages.)

So far as has been possible, the particular English words selected to illustrate the meanings of the words quoted are the same as those used by Shaw in his vocabularies of Wakhi and Sariqoli in JASB. xlv (1876), pt. I, pp. 192 ff. This has been done in order to facilitate comparison with these languages.
