This is what I see my Friend,
as I feed and bath you,
dress,and help your day begin.
I see Someone who's life has been long.
Someone full of memories I can only guess,
Someone who once was very strong.
I know you were once like me,
Young,healthy and full of life.
Someones beloved child,parent,husband or wife.
I ask that you try a little harder with your daily tasks
I know there are those who love you
They have put your cares into my hands.
To me it is a job well spent,
Though I know to you think I must be all bent.
To help you through one more day,
So Susie and John can come for a short stay,
and remember the good old days.
To Laugh and cry,
to hug and kiss and then say goodbye.
Is a selfish task on my part.
I love you my dear friend
as much as my own family
To me You are my extended family.
I want you to eat so you don't hurt
I'll clean-up anything and give you a new shirt.
In your eyes I can see
you are lost in your own little world.
I don't want to intrude, nor do I want to be rude.
I wonder if I had known you in your youth
would we have been friends..
that doesn't matter now.
I want you to know I am your friend...
I will try to be the best kind of friend
you will ever want to know....
your secrets are safe with me...
when I send you a smile
know that all we have shared
is just between us.
My Friend I do see You
I also see me in you
