The Fruit Network!

The Fruit Network...

a network of Fruitarians,

backyard fruit growers
and enthusiasts,

members of fruit clubs,

small and large-scale
organic and natural fruit growers,

exotic and specialty fruit growers,

quality commercial fruit growers,

nurseries,

botanical gardens and arboreta,

and others,

in order to provide
the greatest possible variety of
fresh fruit in season and
fresh, viable, natural seeds
to aspiring fruitarians and
evolving raw vegans.

Fresh fruits available in most
grocery stores, supermarkets
and even organic grocers
and ranch markets
are often unripe, unripenable,
and low in variety and
quality.

Much to the surprise of many,
even "organically grown"
fruit can be "post-treated"
with beeswax and/or oils!

Fresh fruit makes up a very small
portion of the income of
grocery market owners and even
health food stores.

Most of their income is derived from
what is known as
"value-added" products
(dried, canned, preserved,
packaged [dead!] "foods"),
and non-foods.

Those who have backyard gardens
are most encouraged
to send e-mail to us,
including a list of what types of fruit
they have available,
and in what season.

Many people will donate these free,
simply because they don't eat them,
and/or because
'they make a mess' in their yard.

That's fine with us,
we'll gather them up
(cleaning up their yard!),
and distribute them to those on the
Fruit Network Distribution List.

This needs to be done locally.

We will also gather wild fruits
from many areas, which are often
the best fruits available.

("Naturally grown" or "wildcrafted"),
rather than "organically grown"
[i.e. "certified"] or
"claimed organic").

We have been compiling the

Paradise Directory,

a comprehensive directory
listing everyone in Our network:
including telephone number(s),
fax number(s),
mailing and actual address(es),
Internet address(es),
e-mail address(es),
contact person,
hours to call or fax,
and what they have to offer.
It will also include discount,
unique and small businesses needed
temporarily until the Gardens
are 100% self-sufficient.

Our first edition will
cover the Big Island of Hawai'i.

Check this page or the

Paradise News

page to keep posted
as to when
the Directory will be available.
