SAFARI PROPOSALS

In order to make it easier for you to get to Kenya's west-coast while on safari in Kenya we have put together the following tour itinerary, but if you have any special wishes we are more than happy to tailor make a safari itinerary to suit your needs. (Mombasa, Kakamega Forest, Turkana, Lake Baringo and Samburu just to mention a few other places of interest).

Masai Mara, Lake Victoria, Rift Valley and Mount Kenya area

Tour Style: Staying in well-appointed hotels, lodges and a tented camps. Experienced leader/drivers and local guide. 
Transport: 4 wheel drive minibus.
Meal plan: Bed and breakfast basis in Nairobi, all meals included when on safari.
Group size: 4 -  8 people.

Price: approximately 1.520 US dollars per person sharing room. Single room compliment is approx. 270 US dollars . Price may vary according to season. Cost include all as mentioned in tour program below inclusive of entrance fees to game parks. Cost do not include air fares to Kenya, sightseeing trips and restaurant visits in Nairobi,  beverages, tips and any item of personal nature (laundry, telephones etc.) When planning your trip you should be aware that prices vary depending on the time of year. In general the seasons are as follows:

Within the above time frames, depending on the dates of travel, Easter and Christmas supplements may be applicable.

If you are an experienced Kenyan traveler then send us your itinerary and we will do the rest. We'll check out your route and advise of any recent changes in the road conditions or any changes to hotels and lodges

Day 1:  You will be met at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi and transferred from the airport to the  Boulevard Hotel. http://hotelboulevard.kenyaweb.com/  The remainder of the day will be at your leisure (resting in the hotel premises, some sightseeing in Nairobi, shopping etc.)

Day 2: After breakfast, depart for Masai Mara - the land of vast migrating herds of animals. Arrive in time for lunch at Dream Camp. In the afternoon, embark on a late afternoon game drive on the endlessly rolling savannah to experience the spectacular wildlife. Return to the camp for sundowners, dinner and overnight stay. Day 3:  Early morning and afternoon game drives to absorb the enormity of the Mara.. All meals and overnight stay at the Dream Camp.

Day 4: After an early breakfast depart for the Lake Victoria Basin. We drive towards Migori where we will take lunch. Arrival in Mbita and Lake Victoria Safari Village late afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay in the Village. (see Activities for details of the activities you will participate in and what you will see during the coming days in Mbita.)

Day 5: This day will be at your leisure to relax and enjoy the Safari Village. Sundowner trip to a nearby hill late afternoon (by car)

Day 6:  Sightseeing by boat to nearby bird islands and local fishing villages. There will be amble time to meet and chat with the local people.

Day 7:  Sightseeing to Rusinga Island and Mbita area .

Day 8:   Visit to Ruma National Park and Lambwe Forest, about 1 hour drive away.

Day 9:  Depart Mbita after breakfast. Visit soapstone carvers near Kisii on the way to Lake Nakuru.  Arrive at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge i Nakuru National Park for late lunch and afternoon game drive. http://www.sarovahotels.com/LionHill/LionHill.htm

Day 10: Early morning game drive , breakfast before departure for Nyeri. Overnight stay and all meals at Treetops Lodge in the Aberdares National Park. http://www.blockhotelske.com/properties/treetops1.htm

Day 11: Departure to Sweetwaters tented camp near Nanyuki on the Equator at the foot of Mount Kenya. http://www.lonrhohotels.com/SWTC%20home.html

Day 12: After breakfast we will visit the gorilla reserve on this private farm before we drive back to  Nairobi and Boulevard or Panafric hotel.

Day13: Nairobi area sightseeing (Karen Blixens farm, Bomas of Kenya, etc.), shopping, lunch at Carnivore Restaurant (game meat) and dinner at  Tamarind (seafood). http://www.tamarind.co.ke/  Overnight at Boulevard or Panafric hotel.

Day 14: End of safari. Transfer to airport for return day flight home.
