Hope For The Best
As we say good-bye yet to another year
We have had our share of laughter and tears
There were good days and there were bad days
Moments when we felt like given up in many ways
Times when we couldn't wait for the year to come to an end
For we never knew what else would be around the bend
We need to keep in mind whatever happens through out this coming year
As long as we hold onto faith nothing for us will be too severe
The only thing we can do is hope for the best
And put whatever happened during this year to rest
One never knows what the New Year will bring but we must
Follow our heart even if that means putting our trust
Into the things we are not familiar with like the unknown
For there is so much that we have yet to be shown
The New Year is meant for change and whatever else we desire
So old habits for the upcoming year we must be willing to retire
If we want the New Year to be different in every kind of way
Because life is meant to be lived to its fullest every day.
