You Think You Know
Here I sit, and you eavesdrop on my thoughts,
and my persona you think you understand.
But like a duckling that can barely stand,
you have no knowledge in the path you've sought.
I lead you, as a mother, to the lake
and let you wade as deep as I see fit,
and though at times it may seem a bit
unfair, I cannot let you go and take
the chance of losing you. So, follow me
my little duckling. Come discover lands
that only Mother knows. Don't take the chance
and wander by yourself. You'll soon be free,
but until then, I'll show you what you own--
a pair of feet to walk the paths I've shown.
