My Mother

She was here one day

and gone another,

somebody

took away my mother.

Because that person

wasn't watching

who was going by,

it was my mother

who had to die.

i would say i miss her,

i would say i love her,

but i didn't even

get to know her.

Now all that i can say is,

i wish i could have

known her.

There is sadness in my heart

because we are so far apart.

Now i'll have to wait to go

to Heaven to see,

the mother she always

wanted to be.
