My Mommy

My Mommy,

My Best Friend…

I remember being told

How much you loved me,

How much you cared.

You were so young when you

Had me and my sister.

I am so happy with the time

You got to spend with us.

I will cherish it forever.

Even though I don’t remember

You…I have always felt

Your love.

I am in high school now,

Dealing with all the pressures

Of being a teenage girl.

You help me so much

Through each day,

In your own way.

Even though you’re not here

In body, I can feel you

In spirit…

When life gets tough,

I know that through

All that I have been through,

It will make me so strong

In the end,

Just like you were.

I look at your pictures,

Which is all that I have…

And I see your beautiful face

And I can tell that you were

Such a great person.

My love for you runs so

Deep in my heart,

It hurts sometimes to

Realize that I can’t see you,

I can’t touch you.

Some days I get so low

And I just want to be with you,

But I know that I am with you

Every day.

I will be with you

When my life on this

Earth is over.

We will have so much

Fun together.

I’ll get to love you

The way I always wanted to.

I’ll get to tell you all that

I have accomplished,

And everything I’ve done.

We’ll get to catch up

On our lives.

I know you are looking down

On me today.

I want to know your

Life experiences and

What YOU have been through.

My life is dedicated to you,

The life you were deprived of,

But I’m so happy for the time

That you had on this earth,

You made such a big

Impression on everyone

Who knew you.

I feel like I have been

Robbed of your memories…

But definitely not of

Your love!

I know I have a guardian angel

Looking down on me,

Keeping me safe…

And I thank you so much….

You really are an angel.

I miss you so much Mommy,

And I hope you miss me back.

And don’t feel bad about you

Not being here,

Because you are.

You are in our whole family’s

Hearts and prayers…

You are the center of my universe…

Always in my heart,

Mindy
