Factory Floor: Aesthetics of the Iconosphere Itself

-[Iconospher DOC]- (word) -[The Aesthetics of the Iconosphere itslef]- (a bit more complete; html) -^_6 On this page: {On the general lack of completeness of the zix42} {The Choice of Manual Construction Methods} {} i am essentially creating a canvas of TEXT out of which i shall draw (take, extract, cut, etc) a number of things which i shall then form into "sculptural" and "textual" (ie, rough, smooth, flowing, time invariant, etc) forms... ie, the actual art works formed as part of the over all thing.

The Choice of Manual Construction Methods

Even a brief contemplation of the *extent* of the iconosphere's basic structure (8 axis x 8 axis gives 64 simple cross products, and x 8 again 512, etc) indicates that the *strucutre* of the files involved must give one pause as to their "layout". Obviously, a tool (script + script-processing-program) could be devised to create the files (and/or even maintain them; in fact a miniture database management system (DBMS) could have been implemented in (eg) SQL (Structured Querry Language - a sort of "lingua franca" (Latin: "French Language" - figuratively: A universal language, mainly of diplomacy) for data base design and manipulation. But. As i began to work through the task at hand, it struck me that much of my *traditional* art works (printmaking, installation, collage, patining, and of course "the million" - ie: drawing (ink on paper)), lent itself mostly of one nature in terms of my aesthetic sense/ purpose in my work: Texture, Effort (physical/mental/emotional/etc), and of course HYPER-medial; ie, you SEE the hand of the artist. As such, the iconsophere and all of its files have been using only the text editor. All folders, files, file-names, structures, etc have ONLY used cut and paste as well as the REPLACE function of the text editor. And all of this from the "lowly" pen, er, ahhm, "NotePad" editor. And ostensibly, much of the work on a rather old laptop that doesn't have the -^_6 keys working on the keyboard (nor the DEL key but, that's a minor problem). So, there it is; this is the first block of this file. So, what in Zarquon's singing goat is it doing down here? dun-gnough.
