The Obituary of Private James Culbertson ,23rd Pennsylvania, Company G , also known by their nickname, “Birney’s Zouaves”. He died on May 6th 1906 and is buried at Mount Moriah Cemetery in Philadelphia. The Obituary is from The Philadelphia Inquirer on May 7th 1906. His Grandmother Susanna Wilson Culbertson lived until the age of 108 years old, one of the oldest Philadelphians ever.

The Obituary of Pvt. Harry Stephens Company G , also known by their nickname, “Birney’s Zouaves”. Harry died on January 20th 1862 and was buried at the Defunct New Philadelphia Cemetery.

He died on February 14th 1864 while guarding Prisoners at Johnson's Island in Sandusky, Ohio. Edward is buried at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Philadelphia in Section I, Lot 201, Grave 3. The Obituary of Color Sgt. Samuel F. Bolton ,23rd Pennsylvania, Company H , also known by their nickname, “Birney’s Zouaves”. He was killed at The Battle of Fair Oaks on May 31st 1863 and buried on the Battlefield. To this date we have no other information of his resting spot than to belive it is unknown. The Obituary is from The Philadelphia Inquirer on June 3rd 1862.
