Dead Empty @ Nightengales NYC Straight, simple, and no bullshit. We play hard-edged, in your face punk rock. With balls. We've been rocking the shit out of the East Coast for over 2 years now, and you better get used to us, cause we don't plan on stopping anytime soon.

Our sound has been described as walking the fence between English streetpunk and American rock n' roll. All we can say is that we've drawn our influences from the bands we listen to: Dead Boys, Stiff Little Fingers, Zero Boys, Motorhead, Menace, Thunders, etc. We're not claiming to be breaking any revolutionary new ground here, but we feel that our songs have enough twists in them to stand above some of the new punk music today, much of which seems to be sounding the same lately, and can be easily pigeon-holed into some neat and tidy catagory. Try giving it a listen on the sounds page. That way you can give us whatever fancy label YOU would think fits best.

While you may find tales of broken hearts and broken dreams in a DE song, you won't find songs about how in love we are with our girlfriends, etc. You can tune into your favorite local wanky pop/emo band for that one. Nor will you find songs about punks taking over the world or skinhead armies. We're not a pretty band and we don't sing about pretty things. What you will find in our songs is stories about all the shit that we've encountered in life, about all the bullshit that comes with dealing with it, situations that our friends or ourselves have been in, and how you might be able to learn from the mistakes they've made...daily observations...or whatever else we may find interesting to sing about.

Dead Empty @ The Killtime Philadelphia

We might sound like a bunch of negative and angry guys, and while this may be partially true Dead Empty @ Yip Rock Lancasterwe are in this to have fun, and a Dead Empty show can be described as nothing less than a drunken good time. After all, this isn't a job...and it shouldn't feel like one either.

Well that's enough out of us. Feel free to get a hold of us if any of this strikes a common thread with you...or better yet come to see us. If it really offends you, send us some hate mail. We could use a good laugh.

Keep spreading the disease.
