NEW LINEUP??? --YES IT'S TRUE!!! AND WE'RE READY FOR ACTION!!!! (posted 3/5/2002)

After a 5 MONTH(!) hiatus Dead Empty has returned with 2 new members in tow. Following the departure of Ben(Bass)and Dave(Drums), the search was on for new personnel. We are finding that it was well worth the wait as new members Kristen and Matt have exceeded all expectations, filling out the vacancy nicely in the rhythm section. Ben Empty and "Dirty Dave" Glass quit for personal reasons...But anyways, come out and see the new lineup April 5th at FROSTY'S SALOON on Bustleton Ave in Northeast Philly with the HUDSON FALCONS. Check out the shows page for details as more gigs are soon to be added to the schedule!!

SPLIT CD and...PORN STARS???! (posted 3/28/2001) ~ (updated 7/4/01)

DEAD EMPTY's latest studio raid could not have gone better! Recording 6 new songs, and having plans to release 5 of them on...well...we'll let you know when things are solid with the label in question. The remaining song will most likely be released via compilation and/or a new single after the Pure Punk Tour. The recording was originally planned to coincide with a split CD DEAD EMPTY was appearing on with Terminus City. Due, to circumstances beyond everyone's control, the split was scrapped.

A documentary about Philadelphia rock and sex began filming May 17th 2001. Sugar Skulls, Dead Empty, Dead City Psychos, and Smut are the featured bands, the rest of the movie will consist of an HBO real sex type interviewing. Porn Beat is scheduled to be out Jan 2002.

DEAD EMPTY 10" PICTURE DISK (posted 10/6/2000) ~ (updated 7/4/01)

How do you measure punk rock success? Yeah...I don't know either, but to have a picture disk is pretty damn cool. The Bin Records from Laguna Niguel, CA will be repressing the Dead Empty "Blame Luck Blame Fate" CD EP on 10" picture disk format. The record will be hand-numbered out of 1000 and will come with a color Dead Empty sticker that will only be available with the 10". The artwork is finished and it should go to press soon. Look for a very late 2000 or early 2001 release date.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah, well we've been waiting a while for this one. There were many unfortunate circumstances that led to the delay of this release, but it looks as if it will be released soon. Speaking with the label, they have plans to release it before the beginning of the Pure Punk Tour on July 19th. We will see...

SUMMER TOUR REPORT (posted 8/6/2000) ~ (updated 7/4/01)

Being our first time out, this tour was a complete success. We got the chance to meet dozens of new and cool people, had the opportunity to see lots of great other bands, and thanks to the kindness of people we met along the way we were able to return home having only lost about $150.00. That sounds like a punk rock victory to me. To everyone who helped us book the tour, to everyone who gave us a roof to sleep under, and to all the others we met who made tour the great time it was...thank you. Special thanks should go out to Jeff Corey, faithful roadie. He didn't get paid a thing, but he helped us keep everything together. Look for us back on the road in July 2001 on the Pure Punk Tour.
