New Zealand- Half of My World

The country of New Zealand is an important part of Kristen's World. This is where my dad was born and raised, and his family still lives there. I have been there twice, and let me tell you, if you ever get a chance to go, it is an oppourtunity you should not pass up. The natives of New Zealand, the Maori's, named it Aotearoa, which means "Land of the Long White Cloud." The Maori's are to New Zealand as the Native Americans are to the United States. The kiwi is the national bird of New Zealand. That is how I got my AOL screen name. Let it be known---- I am NOT half a fruit!!! I have visited several of the cities on the North Island of NZ. New Zealand consists of 2 islands (north and south). It's capital (Wellington) and largest city (Auckland) are both on the North Island. NZ is also the country where the TV shows Xena: Warrior Princess, and Hercules the Legendary Journeys are filmed. The famous One Tree Hill is located in Auckland, and from the monument on the top of the hill, it seems like you can see forever!
