March 12, 2008 'Ashes To Ashes' club night

We are also holding another special night at The London Stone pub, Cannon Street. This one is to celebrate the music from the recent BBC TV series, 'Ashes To Ashes'. This programme contained a re-creation of The Blitz club in 1981, and a number of ED regulars were used as extras during the filming. We will be playing selected songs from the programme soundtrack, and many more from the New Romantic era. The night will take place on Saturday 19th April 2008. New Romantic dress is strongly encouraged but not compulsory! Full details about the London Stone here

05.0208 Music For The Masses - Saturday 23rd February

We have some more details about our forthcoming Depeche Mode night at The London Stone. The venue itself is a small, gothic themed pub with an intimate atmosphere, and a decor rather reminiscent of a 70's Hammer Horror film set. Drinks are at pub prices with a special offer of vodka shots at £1.00 each. The music will be nearly all Depeche Mode, covering the full span of their career, with the occasional track by other bands for variety. The evening will start at 9.00pm, and continue to at least 3.00am, perhaps longer as the management are prepared to be flexible with opening and closing times. Admission will be £5.00. 16.01.2008 Electric Dreams nights at another venue.

We have recently been in negotiation with the management of The London Stone pub , with the result that we are going to host extra Electric Dreams nights there. These will focus on one band or one style of music, and will therefore not have exactly the same mix of music as would Electric Dreams at The Purple Turtle, but will be more specialised. The first will be a Depeche Mode special night, and will be on Saturday 23rd February. We will release more details as they become available.
