These are the people who run Electric Dreams. If you come to the club and recognise us from the photos below please feel free to come up and say hello.

The DJs: (from left to right) The Baron, Stix and Valeriun

Valeriun (David Dalton) is with Stix one of the two founders of the club. At present he is responsible for the general running of Electric Dreams, and now that Paul K has left has taken over the maintenance of the website. He is also the founder of the New Wave Webring. Valeriun is an enthusiast for a wide range of music that can be labelled 'alternative', but particularly the synth bands of the early eighties, such as Visage, Ultravox, Depeche Mode and especially Gary Numan. He has DJd at various other clubs and nights, including Planet Earth, Eurobeat 2000, Severin's Kiss, Club X and Club Noir and Vicious. He was once invited to Tel Aviv in Israel as guest DJ in Club Asimut. Valeriun is always interested in speaking to other fans of the music played played at ED. Stix (Paul Budge) is from Dulwich in South East London. He and The Baron used to play in a little known cult underground electro-goth band called Flashpoint in the early nineties. Stix has been clubbing in the eighties and goth scene since 1988, and first DJ'd at a friend's (rather alternative) wedding disco in 1995. It was not until 1997 however that he first started DJing professionally when Electric Dreams opened in January of that year.

Stix has DJ'd at many other clubs since, including Severin's Kiss, Pure Industrial, Spiders, Malice Underground, Club Restriction, Nylons, The Devonshire Arms, Planet Earth, Eurobeat 2000, Memorabilia, Pinups, For Your Pleasure, Electric Fist, Re-hab, Seduction, Velvet Goldmine, Black Celebration , The Hobgoblin ( Forest Hill), The Cartoon (Croydon), Gotham, Electrofest, The Strange Club, High Voltage, Club Nocturne, The Ben Crouch Arms, The World's End pub, The Hope And Anchor pub, The Dublin Castle pub, The Garage, The St Moritz Club, Electrowerkz, The Hellfire Club, Club X , Club Noir, Stunners, The Fringe and Gwendolins (House Of The Switchblade Sisters), Vicious and Dead And Buried.

Stix has DJ'd at the following gigs: Sigue Sigue Sputnik, Christian Death, Apoptygma Berzerk, Xymox, In The Nursery, Attrition, Killing Miranda, Mesh, Diary of Dreams, Mechanical Cabaret, Inertia, C-Tec, The Faces Of Sarah, Manikin, Sneaky Bat Machine, Altered States, K-Nitrate, Nightshade, The Borg, The Nine, Mesh, Neavus, Einsteifen, John Foxx, Greenhaus and Fad Gadget.

Stix has appeared as a film extra in Martin Clunes' eighties based film "Hunting Venus" (see photos page for pics), in "Kipper" a bizarre fetish opera production for Channel 4, A British Airways advert and a Cradle of Filth Video. His top ten bands are: Death In June, Joy Division, Foetus, Swans, A Certain Ratio, Sopor Aeturnus, Apoptygma Berzerk, Gary Numan, Depeche Mode and Current 93. His latest project is his new band the "Juju Babies" with Misty Woods, and David Lockwood (ex The Faces Of Sarah). The band gig regularly, spreading the word for psycho-electro! Stix also has a profile on the Friendster site.

The Baron (Adrian Sherring) comes from Edmonton in North London. His first experience of DJing was at the same friend's wedding disco that Stix first DJ'd at (they have been friends for many years). It was there that the original idea of doing a club night happened when they both realised that they had such extensive record collections that it would be a good idea to make further use of them. Apart from Electric Dreams, The Baron has DJ'd at Eurobeat 2000, Club X and Planet Earth. He also played bass and danced in Stix's band Flashpoint, and currently runs a fan club for the actor Michael Sheard. Adrian has ambitions beyond DJing however: he intends to become involved in stand-up comedy, having already written and performed a few sketches himself, and to develop further the beginning he made in acting, as an extra in the "Hunting Venus" production. The Baron's top ten bands are: The Stranglers, Hugh Cornwell, The Vibrators, Kraftwerk, The UK Subs, PIL, Depeche Mode, A Flock Of Seagulls, The Sex Pistols and 999. The Staff

DanielDaniel - You will always find him dashing around the club. One minute he's burning up the dancefloor, the next he's chatting at the bar. He is here, there and everywhere !! When he's not on the dancefloor he's helping out onthe door. Dan is an institution at Electric Dreams. He loves socialising and mingling with the regulars and always has a story to tell. Dan normally goes for the harder electronic edge of music at the club, and his favourite artists include Regenerator, Soft Cell, John Foxx and Mesh.
